I mean call me skepticall but it does seem a little odd that two such major events should happen in such close proximaty and one should totally overshadow the other. Well in that one gets massive news coverage and the other, which happens to confirm it was a war for oil not justice, gets very little coverage. Do they think that we just won't notice? Also Saddam still had another full trial to sit through but instead was rushed though a shamefull execution. Any comments on this would be interesting to see.

I saw on the news the other day that this group is trying to raise money for U.S soliers, injured in Iraq. WHY would individual groups need to raise money for these folks? If they were injured in the line of duty - should'nt they be cared for and receiving government benefits?

I have absolutley no idea why we are at war. Ok, so Osama and Sadamm-insane are dead so why are we still killing inocent soldiers (our soldiers) in Iraq? Some people say that we are helping Iraqiens (?) fight for their independance. Well, for God's sake, they can fight their own damm war! I mean, we did it and no one helped us. And why would they be at war. we were the ones who had hijacked planes

Although hippies were sometimes accused of verbally attacking soldiers and spitting on veterans returning home from duty in Vietnam, or participating in the torching of ROTC buildings on college campuses, with the exception of a small radical fringe element, hippies did not verbally assault military personnel and did not condone acts of political violence. ***With the release of FBI records under the Freedom of Information Act, it has become clear that many such attacks were actually perpetrated by FBI COINTELPRO agents provocateurs*** operating on J. Edgar Hoover's instructions to discredit those who opposed the Vietnam War. It was the USA Government who spit on returning troops.

Hi. A question for Gulf War veterans or US Army members.

There is an official US Army battle damage report (http://www.gulflink.osd.mil/du_ii/du_ii_refs/n52en520/7161_039_0000008.htm) about an Abrams hit by three tank rounds from a T-72 during Desert Storm. The damage was enough to send the US MBT to a maintenance depot.

There is also a pic (http://ar.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ciceronislingua/detail?.dir=/9a46re2&.dnm=8a89re2.jpg&.src=ph#pro) showing an M1A with at least one penetrator stuck in the rear right side of the turret.
The American tank markings match those of the 24th Infantry Division.
Do you think the damaged assessment is about the same tank?

I'm 14 and either want to be a helicopter pilot for coast guard or air force. I'm to young to talk to a recruiter, so I need your help. Preferably from someone from the armed services.

Q 1: What are some operations a air force helicopter pilot might encounter?

Q 2: What are some steps in becoming a helicopter pilot for the USAF?

Q 3: What are the Requirements on becoming a pilot for the air force?
(I had asthma when I was 4-5 years old, will this affect my chances?)

Thanks for any help provided!
