Check out the first link I'm giving you below. Click on each branch of the service and learn more about it.

Remember that the Marines do not have their own Nursing Service, they use the Navy's. Likewise, the Coast Guard. They use nurses from the National Health Service.

Talk to a local Air Force, Army or Navy recruiter near you (they're in the Yellow Pages). Each may have a program that invites those who are interested in joining as nurses to visit a base of their service and observe how nurses live and function in their environment.

You may get to spend a whole weekend on a base, all expenses paid, including plane fares as applicable. That way, not only can you observe but also talk to the nurses already in that service and get the picture of what you're getting into. (See second link)

Note: There's a big difference between a Medic and a Nurse in the services. The medic is an enlisted man, performing the job of an orderly or a nurse's aid. A nurse is an officer, doing the job of an RN.

both the Air rigidity and military have a training concepts application for lively responsibility workers. you would also qualify for the GI bill, see you later as you meet the minimum time-in-service criteria. A recruiter can allow you to recognize all about it. you won't be able to grow to be a nurse only by using being in between the defense force amenities. Nurses in the defense force are officials and characteristic a 4 year college degree. you'll bypass the position they allow you to recognize to bypass. in case you refuse, then you honestly will be discharged and lose your GI bill reward. that's vitally rude to apply all caps even as posting your questions. Please chorus in the destiny. Edit: pay interest you dumba$$, you've been informed multiple circumstances it truly is rude to apply all caps. in case you're that stupid, then not one of the defense force amenities favor you!

As someone said the Navy would be a good choice because you can get attached to a Marine Infantry unit BUT you are female so you won't be able to do that. Air Force, Navy and the Army have their own type of medics. I would talk to a recruiter to find out what type of specific job you would be doing, but ALWAYS double check your answers with your own research, and then double check those answers.

Good luck and God bless.

Navy. Naval nurses, which are commisioned officers, do not go out in the field. The corpsman, enlisted, do this. Also, don't do it for the money!!! Civilian RN's make six times more than, let's say, a lieutenant in the nurse corps. Keep that in mind. You will be broke!!!!

Navy, if you want, they'll put you with the marines, as they don't have their own medics.
