he was a muslim conqueror who was the main leader in defending against the crusades. it's pronounce in the muslim world as salah huddeen. the crusaders took over jerusalem and killed every man woman and child they saw and the city was filled up to the ankles in bloo ..when salah huddeen took it back he killed no one and only took control of the city and asked for the jiziya tax from the non-muslims which was smaller in amount than the zakat which the muslims payed. zakat was just 2.5% of a person's excess to be given to the poor and the needy every year. it could definitely end world poverty if people followed shariya. there is no single country that practices islam to its full extent-not even islam's birth place-arabia.anyways in return for the jiziya tax the non muslims did not have to and could not participate in the muslim army. this is how every muslim conqueror should have conquered territory according to islamic shariya (law) and although many have conquered land this way many have not-it depends how well of a muslim they really were. any ways salah huddeen was an honorable man in the muslim world and my Allah be please with him. ameen
