I have a package to send to the armed forces in Iraq, but the weight of it will cost me a fortune at USPS, or UPS or Fedex. Do you know of any organizations that will ship packages of this nature for you. I have heard that there are some, or even the military will do it, but I need to know who I need to contact regarding it. Thanks for your help

My fiance is in marine boot camp right now and he wrote in a letter that they were told they are able to quit after Phase 1. I was told by someone else, however, that the drill instructor's just tell them this to give them a sooner date to focus on. Do any marines or ex-marines or anyone for that matter know if this is true or not? If it's not, how come there are so many recruits that don't end up graduating? Any help is greatly appreciated...thanks a lot!

for example there is hardly any chance that a russian jetfighter can ever shoot down any of usa's best jetfighters in a dogfight, the su-27 and su-35 russian jetfighters have very obselete avionics and weapons

.a single abrams tank can take out at least 10 russian t-80 or t-90 tanks in less than a minute without hardly any threat of the abrams tank ever getting hit, russian submarines like typhoon, delta borey oscar and akula class submarines have very obselete technologies, are very noisy and have obselete weapons

.the highly touted shkval torpedo is nothing more than old technology that is irrelevent since shkval has such a short range and american subs can easily detect and destroy any russian sub way before the shkval torpedo is in any range to fire.

russian nukes are way behind in technology compared to usa,for example russia's latest nuclear weapon the ss-27 topol m is actually about 20 years behind in technology compared to usa's best nuke

I want to go into the coast guard soon (right out of high school) and I was wondering if they would allow you to live on base until you make enough money to buy a house. Is this possible or not?

Thanks

I have read articles that everyone in the 4th Infantry from Ft Hood currently in Iraq will be home in time for Christmas. I have a soldier over there who was deployed at the beginning of March and I am uncertain if he is included in that group.

I go to sleep each night, so that i can wake up the following morning to protest the war, wrapped up in the very blanket of freedom that is provided by those brave soldiers.

If Hitler had chosen to eliminate all Black persons on earth instead of Jews, do you think all other countries would have joined him instead of fighting him, thus avoiding World War II?

My friend married a guy (active duty air force 9 yrs) in the summer of 2000. They have no children together but she has a child from a previous relationship. She has no idea where he is? and the town she is in now had no military support. I know he is collecting bah with dependents and has been for yrs and at some point was collecting cola for being stationed in England as well as being stationed in the sand box and all the extra pay that comes along with that so far she has not seen a dime of any of it and it has been well over 5 yrs

North Korea is a threat. So why is the USA staying away from North Korea?

2006-12-18 07:04:04 · 16 answers · asked by Anonymous

Theres a difference. I protest this war because I dont want to see US soldiers die in Iraq just because of oil or because Saddam pissed his Dad off. you all talk about the reason for being in iraq but as of yet very few have given a definitive answer as to why exactly we are in Iraq and not say in North Korea. Hello? North Korea actually have nuclear capability, unlike Iraq who we thought might have. At least soldiers dying on the North Korea front would be for a noble cause. Those who are in Iraq, I shed tears that your lives are put on the line by that idiot Bush who cant identfy the correct targets.

Iraq has nothing to do with how much freedom I have or lack of freedom I have in the USA. Just like Vietnam that country had no bearing on my freedom or lack of freedom. Iraq is a wasted war and the troops will have died for nothing.

This was said at a funeral of a military man in Michigan. The minister said the troop was killed and went to heaven so we should all be happy he died and is in god's glory.

I know the Military has shown a decline in recruitments the past 5 or so years. So how do they plan on getting more people to enlist? Are the services going to lower their standards? If some already have do you know which ones have and what their new standards are?
