I don't find it ironic. I find it tragic that those soldiers were sent into an unwinnable war, undermanned and poorly supplied to fight at the order of a President who has proven himself an enemy of the very freedoms that those brave soldiers supposedly fight for.
It is the work of a coward to cloak his tyranny in the flag he is sworn to uphold and to send others to fight for his power to trample on the very Constitution that they and he are sworn to defend.
A question in return: How many Iraqis were on the planes that were hijacked on 9/11/2001?
Hint: None at all.

Some of those brave soldiers signed up to go some didn't but they are still fighting for our freedom. The freedom of other people to and so that no one else has to put up with terrorism or the people behind it.And instead of protesting just support the ones coming home from the war.

NO! I'm a Viet Nam vet and myself and many others in many different wars fought our nations enemys so you could do exactly that. War is bad, protest it with all your might so you hopefully never have to go. If you think it is so ironic and bad though, you should join the military and get your butt over there to fight for your freedoms before it is too late. If you support the brave soldiers by words only, you are really being a hypocrite. Ironic, isn't it?

In life there has to be ups and downs checks and balances and winners and losers.
The same goes for war! those freedoms you enjoy are the very same ones that our governments are trying to give to those unfortunate souls who have been suppressed for so long.
Are you so mean minded and selfish that you would den-ye these peoples the right to think dream and hope for freedom that you have always enjoyed.
Instead of protesting you should thank your lucky stars and strips that our fathers fought and died for something that was worth while! - while other men said was it was foolish .
Sometimes you have to stand tall and show your metal no matter how tough it is or what cost .

It's okay to protest anything in the USA but:
Remember, it is the Soldier, not the
reporter Who has given us the freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us
the freedom of speech. It is the Soldier who
salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and
whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the
protester to burn the flag

Something tells me you came up with your own nickname.
Are you talking about the war in iraq?
What does that have to do with my freedoms?
Last I checked, Saddam Hussein hadn't invaded the USA.
Have you completely forgotten the WMD argument? I thought that's why we invaded?
If anything, I have fewer freedoms now because of this stupid war on terrorism.
Which by the way, makes no sense because of how arbitrary the idea of terrorism is. Are we going to stop fighting once they stop using terrorist tactics?

what i find ironic is that some of these political/military ?'s are asked by people who never served a day in the military but want to tell a soldier how to do their job, & have no sense of pride when it comes to America but are proud to say "Freedom of Speech"

No, that's not really ironic. Irony would be if those soldiers fought for your right to protest, and then you weren't allowed to.
