Trying to find a picture of the U.S.S. Peamount (I hope I'm spelling that right). My father-in-law was on that ship for the Vietnam War, he was hoping to get a (old) picture of that boat. The boat was sold to another country and was not decomissioned or memorialized. Can anyone help?

I would love some ideas for songs, I am doing a guest appearance so to speak, I am British but proudly living in the US,I especially would like songs from the 40's if possible, I was born in the 60's so am able to do any song reasonably well thanks alot!!

Some claim that leaving "before the job is done" will mean 3000 soldiers "died for nothing". So do we send more troops and then more troops until we end up with 30,000 deaths? And is there any guarantee of Victory?

what do you know about enlisting in the war in the 1950's? what did you have to do? like fill out some paperwork then go to a training camp? that easy? or not as easy? please be nice.

First of all im not european or canadian, im mexican

Of course the US did a great job in WWI and WWII and probably the course of the war wouldve changed completely if the US hadnt intervened. but can u tell me why u intervened? oh yes, Pearl Harbor, a foreign attack on ur soil. Iraq War, can u tell me the reasons? stupid reasons.
My reason to beleive that most americans think they protect the world is because you can see it in the American Media.
Saying Saddam had WMD and using it as an excuse to invade Iraq? thats definetely not a concrete and real reason to start a war.
War on terrorism? like i said, u lost it a long time ago.
and no im not concerned of a terrorist attack happening here in my own country. and my travel experiences have shown me that many europeans think that way, besides Spanish and Brits. Why? Oh thats right, they also invaded Iraq. so in a way or so, the only thing that ur president has caused, is that more people hate the US, spain, and the UK.

i was told that russia has no weapons system that is close to any american system,for example the russian su-27,su-35 jetfighters the t-80 and t-90 tanks,the akula,typhoon,borey,delta and oscar class submarines. the yakhont and moskit anti shipping missiles the russian air defense s-400 triumph and many more are at least 30 years behind usa in technology wise.seems like usa can cake wake easily in conventional war

The geonocide in Darfur is not widley known adn my school is working to help people over in Sidan. What si going on over is from 2003 till now about 450,000 people have died and 100,000 are kept in assentialy concentraition camps and raiders come adn kill the people and rape the women. The average rapes a day in Darfur is eleven. If you have any veiws on this problem or have any more information on it I would be interested in it.

I've easily read like 50 or more comments from americans saying that the world should thank them for protecting them, and that the soilders over there in Iraq are serving not just the USA but also all of humanity.

Where do u get these ideas? Im not american nor i live in the USA and the war in Iraq hasn't brought me a single benefit. WMD? Never found. War on Terrorism? You already lost it a long time ago. Just look at yourselves and you'll find out that many times you're afraid of one of your sons or daughters dying in a bombing of a Mall or a stadium. Terrorism isn't blowing yourself up to kill 10 more people. Terrorism is doing any action (violent or non violent) to inflict FEAR/TERROR on certain people. And it looks like the terrorists have gotten what they wanted.

Sometime in the height of the troubles the S.A.S ambushed and killed an active cell of I.R.A. members. The incident involved a minibus and a JCB , with a bomb in the bucket of the JCB and maybe a dissused school/police station?.
All in all I think their was around 6 I.R.A men killed that day.
I want to know if anyone knows what the area was called and if it was a school/police station or something else? Also the name of the S.A.S operation would be good so I can research it on Wikipedia?
Any info at all would be brilliant.
