Well now. We sure live in a small country. Fooled me. I saw more then that at the Wal-Mart. 50 people make up the majority of Americans. Sort of defuses the rest of your drivel. WMD not found? How silly Sadam was a WMD. And we must be enternally grateful to you for clearing up what Terroism is. It has been on the minds of those 50 people for weeks.
Heck let's just quit everything, we lost, you said so. Oh, by the way, you are ...?

Bah, Iraq was a mistake in every way possible. Nato had just moved in next-door to saddam, and quite frankly the rest of the world was in a position to excert influence on Iraq, maybe even force a peaceful regime change.
Saddam knew this, this is why he was so surprised when "The Coalition of the Willing", against all logic, from a superior political position, chose to plunge themselves in a chaotic war and the insecurity of anarchy.
I can still hear him mouthing the words "but we don't have any WMDs..."
In short, the moment Bush decided to attack Iraq we took a huge step backwards. Now instead of a defeated foe who would be willing to make amends, we have to negotiate with a government of theocrats who win votes by being anti-american.

Obviously a European who has never thought about 20th Century.
Twice Americans came and saved the Europeans from the consequences of wars Americans hadn't started.
Obviously a European who doesn;t realize his own societies lacked the ability to even restrain or dissuade a tinpot dictator from carrying out genocide and ethnic cleansing in the Balkans.
Obviously a European, who like any spoilt teenager, complains about everything without in any way contributing to an alternative.
Or am I wrong

so which you're asserting that as quickly as united states of america joined WW2 and despatched hundreds of troops to their dying battling the Nazis that we did no longer help Greece? Do Europeans no longer understand that Germany had distinctly lots taken over maximum of Europe and that it replaced into the blended attempt of the Allied Powers (which incorporate the U. S.) that pushed them back? Yeah, acceptable. never helped Greece. besides the conflict in Iraq served one purpose that secure the international and that replaced into removing a merciless dictator who given adequate time and money could have made yet another pass like Kuwait. i'm on no account justifing this conflict, and in certainty i think of that removing Hussein replaced into the only reliable element again from this conflict and that the undesirable far out weighs the reliable.

First of all the USA is wrong to go into Iraq..... Iraq was and is not a threat to the USA. The world looks at the USA as the bully on the block. I should know because I spent 6 years active duty. My supervisor used to say just before we went on patrol "Let's cause hate and discontent" so let's roll!!! That was the outlook toward other people. No wonder we are hated all over the world.

we are not losing the war on terror i dont think there has been any more attacks on US soil. terrorism is about killing 10 people or any amount of people because killing people will cause fear or terror, look in isereal they are getting bombed constantly it maybe 10 or so at a time but it adds up. So please explain to me how getting a maas murder and someone who was actively pursuing WMDs is not a benefit to humanity?

I AM American, and for the most part, I agree with you. And, truthfully, I think the majority of Americans just want an exit strategy. There's a lot of horribly crappy things going on in our government right now, and the media's not covering them adequately. In order to be well-informed, Americans need to go to outside news sources.
In the end, our Orwellian war is doomed. You cannot fight a war against terror because just as we find a weapon to extinguish its current methods, someone comes up with a new way to wreak havoc. You cannot fight ideas or ideals or ideologies. Cannons and guns do no harm to movements. In fact, most movements have their finest moments when under persecution, when people think that physical weapons can hurt spiritual or mental foes.
But there are a lot of Americans like me out there. People who are reasonable, and who understand that supporting your country is NOT standing behind whatever your government tells you.
Have hope. I do. I hope, fervently, that we find democracy again.

The civil war in iraq caused by the US invasion, is making the world less safe. Iraq war has helped to create terrorists that will torment our children and grandchildren for generations. It's nothing to be proud of.
Bush's own intelligence services have said that the iraq war had had the effect of increasing terrorism, not reducing it.

The majority of Americans don't want to be bothered by logical thinking or have their time making a living interrupted. We elect a congress and a president and expect them to make the decisions, to have our best interest at heart. I am an American and vehemently disagreed with ever invading Iraq, not to mention loss of our rights and many other issues this administration has created.

It's not most. Please, let it not be most.....
You're right. But some of us reasonable, intelligent Americans realized from the beginning that the whole idea of invading Iraq was unnecessary, potentially (and now definitely) damaging to the world's safety, morally corrupt, logically bankrupt, and extremely hazardous to the safety of American soldiers, Iraqi civilians, and the USA's reputation and international relations in general.
On the plus side, people seem to be coming around..... very, very late, albeit, but hopefully it won't be too long until we've got leaders that are rational, sensible, and compassionate human beings again.
