Do you think that Britain should lead the next NATO invasion or should we let the Americans take the lead once more?

Hi all,

I am a recent graduate of a major university with a degree in engineering. I am about six months into a career in consulting, and certainly enjoy the engineering profession. But I have found myself wanting to serve my country and do something more exciting while I am still young. Enter, the Navy.

My main concern in doing this is the toll it will take on my wife. I realize that my absence is a "necessary evil" of the armed forces, and I would like to obtain a realistic impression of how much I will be away.

I am looking to become an officer, and find myself initially interested in working with submarines. But I am open to suggestions.

Thanks alot,

Chase

Was it true that black american soldiers were not allowed to eat and to sleep alongside with their white colleagues in Vietnam while America was fighting a war in the name of democracy and freedom for the Vietnamese people.
That was the case in many hollywood Vietnam war films I watched over the years , was it true ?

I was an Air Force brat then did my 20 in the Army so I'm not a newbie to military life. I'm going back in with a european assignment but taking a new wife, having a first child, the thing you usually do at 21. She has a great career, smart, intelligent and knows what she is getting into but I'm thinking she would like to read some stuff about general military life as a spouse.

I was wondering how much $$ would we have to pay the profit mongers who make a fortune on military contracts to retro fit the current humvee's in use by the U.S.A. and allies military so they will stand up to attack and save the troops,if we can't pull them out we might as well make them as safe as our technology allows!

A few days ago there was an uproar because the US government published papers siezed in Iraq and in the papers was a "how to" for building a nuclear weapon.
People have been screaming about that but does that not clue anyone else into the fact that Iraq had the capability to produce nuclear weapons?
For all of these people that screamed that there were no WMD should this not shut them up and silence the argument that we should not be in Iraq? Does this not PROVE the necesity of the war in Iraq?

My question: 655,000 Iraqis dead? Six quarts of blood a man times 655,000? It's an ocean.

Answer from Curt:

655,000 terrorists dead! Thats one hell of a good start. Lets see, we got 2 million Gooks in 'Nam so we only need about another 1,400,000 terrorists to tie that record. Lets keep going.

I singled this one out because it's the best example of the American Mentality. Thanks for the free demo Curt.
