In Missouri?? Good luck nothing close by really unless you have time to drive to KC then there is alot to do. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It's Lost in the Woods, nothing exciting anywhere. I'd say a picnic but its not the time of year for it. If he has a couple days of leave... go somewhere such as a B&B. Something to remind him that is not all military.....
