But at one point, Bush showed a photo of himself looking for something out a window in the Oval Office, and he said, "Those weapons of mass destruction have got to be somewhere."

The audience laughed. I grimaced. But that wasn't the end of it. After a few more slides, there was a shot of Bush looking under furniture in the Oval Office. "Nope," he said. "No weapons over there." More laughter. Then another picture of Bush searching in his office: "Maybe under here." Laughter again.

THIS IS OK?

In 2006, the occupying United States forces turned security for the country over to NATO deployed forces in the region, integrating their 20,000 soldiers with NATO's own 20,000. The Canadian military assumed leadership and almost immediatly began an offensive against areas where the Taliban guerrillas had encroached. At the cost of only a few dozen of their own soldiers, the British, American, and Canadian forces managed to kill over 1,000 Taliban fighters and send thousands more into retreat. Many of the surviving guerrillas, however, began to regroup and further clashes are expected by both NATO and Afghan government military commanders.

interesting, the canadians succeded in a few months what the americans could not acomplish in years.
Again, I am not a canadian

discuss.

I am interested in experiences of Vietnam War veterans. I would very much like to understand better the emotional trauma that they went through and still struggle with. I love a man very much who was only 18 when he went and, I believe, it is too painful for him to recount in the detail that I need. He was a tailgunner and received two Purple Hearts.

I was too young at the time to have any memories from that period.

Thank you for helping me out. I want to be able to help him when those old memories come up. Could you also suggest ways in which your wife/girlfriend could help you deal with those anniversaries?

I just read that the US military is allowing Chinese military men to tour US military bases in Hawaii and California. China showed a U.S. military delegation that visited the country in March antiquated planes and ships dating to the late 1960s and early 1970s. I can understand why we don't demand equal respect in this, trade or anything else. We regret these deals every day, yet we keep doing the same thing.

Kerry's latest gaff was an insult thrown at our men and women in the military:

"We're here to talk about education. But I want to say something before that....You know, education, if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, ah.. you .. you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

He's an elitist rich boy, educated at private schools, and Yale university. Married into one of the richest families in America -- who has NO clue about middle America life.

He always promotes himself as a veteran, and yet John Kerry's service in Vietnam lasted 4 months and 12 days, beginning in November 1968 until he requested a transfer out of Vietnam on March 17, 1969, citing Navy instruction 1300.39 permitting personnel with three Purple Hearts to request reassignment. Kerry is the only Swift sailor ever to leave Vietnam with less than 12 months of service.

With quotes like this - is he stupid or what??

(Posted this before but I think most of the answers were about the US Army so I changed the question)

I am 19 now and expecting to be getting a 12 month sentence in a few weeks. Just want to know when I'm all finished with that if I would still be able to join the army or would having been in prison mean I have no chance.
