As an American living in Vietnam see this war is a tragic mistake, we are mired down in a quagmire, much worse than in the Vietnam War. You should see the poor people here with legs and arms missing begging on the street. Total Vietnamese killed about 300,000 no idea how many wounded. Our brave shoulders 55,000 and how many wounded. In Iraq they estimate 650,000 dead. For our brave 2,200 plus young boys that have died for a lost cause, hope Bush and his cronies sleep well. America has a civil war going, feel It's time the leadership of this country admit to their blunder, and lets go home.

Because we don't have the responsibility of dealing with the fallout it is indeed what we want. No more American deaths.
By pulling out however we would almost immediately see the middle east explode. We will have sent a message that when the going gets tough we get going and we will forever be in jeopardy.
What our government must do is hold a summit with all the Islamic leaders in the region and begin talking. This has never been part of the Bush administration strategy and you see where we are today.
During that time all military personnel in IRAQ should circle up the wagons. No more running around the country. Go into a protective mode and let the so-called IRAQ government take over it's own security with our help, with the understanding that there is a date we must meet.
Until these things are done there is no reason why that government will step up to the plate. All members of that government are at risk of death from one sect or another. So for them to start demanding their people shape up may be the last thing they do as they currently have nothing to back it up with. And if that government fell IRAQ would become a very safe haven for all terrorist and our real problems will just begin.
Until the Bush administration begins to try to bring all the countries together in the region we will always be in jeopardy. We can't solve their problems. They must do it. But we must not continue to believe there is a military solution.
What we have visited on the IRAQ people should never ever be done without good and verifiable reason. While they lived under an evil dictator...at least they lived. While we have lost an unacceptable amount of personnel they have lost well over 300,000 and counting every day. They did not deserve to die because of one man's belief that to be remembered in history you have to be a war president.

My immediate answer would be yes. My husband is there and I would like nothing more than for him to come home. Realistically, I have to say no. If our troops are pulled out of Iraq before their mission is completed then it will only be a matter of time before we are fighting for our safety and freedom on our own soil.

I would not call it a war. It is more like helping rebuild a country and installing a democratic government, while under constant attack by a enemy force.
I would continue the current efforts until the job is done, even if it takes another few years. Meanwhile I would attack those key people in those countries who are supplying the enemy force in Iraq. I would use enough force to stop these countries from sending their soldiers into Iraq. I would topple those regimens if necessary. They have no business interfering in our attempt to help Iraq.

I was against this stupid war from the getgo
Someone once said "its like after Japan bombed Pearl harbor we decided to declare War on Tailand"
But that being said in almost any military operation its much harder to get out then it is to get in we have to leave carefully.
Its too bad that Bush is such a Moron and went into this without a plan or a clue of how to go about it

No, I like fighting the terrorist in Iraq not in the USA...
I just don't like those darn suicide bombers, if I got killed by one it would mess up my long term goals.
If we left they will follow, so lets just finish the job over there.
