My husband is resigning Nov3rd. Does anyone know when he should get the first initial payment of the SRB and what % they take out in taxes? TY

expect 27% taken off the top if he is re upping Stateside or other wise not in HFP territory.

SRBs are paid separately from the 15th and 1st pay, so IF (and I stress IF) PSD has their ducks in a row, he should get it fairly quickly(within 10 days). If not, well, it could be months....

If your husband is reenlisting on November 3rd, the initial payment for the Selective Reenlistment Bonus probably won't be paid out until he gets paid on December 1st (it takes Defense Accounting and Finance Service a while to get it in) and you can expect that they'll take about 28% out in taxes. Bear in mind that his SRB is based on his military pay alone -- it does not include basic allowance for subsistence (BAS) or basic allowance for housing (BAH)
