I haven't smoked marijuana in over a year but I did try it a couple times in high school. I know they ask if you ever experimented with it when you go to the recruiting office. Would a simple, "Yes, I tried it a couple times but haven't used it in over a year." disqualify me?

Somebody was asking a question about Vietnam and people were saying we could have won if we had done this or that differently. And it just suddenly occurred to me that I have never heard anybody say exactly what we would have won. I'm sure people must have said it just not around me. I was just a kid but I vaguely remember stuff about dominoes and falling into the lap of the communists like rotten fruit and Kruschev was going to bury us which was why we did not dare lose. But apparently we did lose. But Kruschev didn't bury us. What am I missing?

AUD = Australian Dollars

So how much does it cost government to manufacture 1 average missile in Australian dollars? I'm calculating some statistics...Also after giving me the answer, how long (in days, months or years) will that amount of money (to manufacture that one missile) feed a child struck by poverty in Africa? I would like to know, thanks people :)

People in the know, who know about the worlds future may be letting some indicators slip showing their intention. What can you see happening in preparation for war. Some I can see,

Price of metals has gone through the roof.
Price of oil has gone through the roof.
Australian Military adding 2500 in overall troop numbers.
(not many, but it's a start)
How many major civil projects are under way around the world?
How many of these could have future military use?
How many major civil projects have been announced recently?
How many of these could have future military use?
How many major military projects announced\underway?

people who serve their country should be respected for being willing to die for their country and protect the freedoms we enjoy. so if you disagree with a war or policy why rag on the military? why not rag on the politicians who sent these barave men and women to war, they are just following orders. many soldiers dont agree with the war either but they follow orders because they love their country.

During the early 70's I was an Intelligence Specialist in the Navy. I had differant clearances above Top Secret and was involved with mission planning of nuclear strike missions into the U.S.S.R. (S.I.O.P. - single integrated operational planning). Now I have been contacted by a writer who wants to interview me about my experiences and job back then. I seriously doubt anything I knew then has much to do with what goes on nowdays, but I'm not sure. And don't know if I should comply. Who would I contact to learn how much or what I can talk about?

Having fought in that country, I can tell you that the Insurgents are well trained, and experts in urban guerilla warfare. They are easily on par with groups like Hezbollah, the Taliban, Tamil Tigers and the IRA. Because of this, even the best trained soldiers in the world (American Soldiers), are going to suffer casualties. However according to the Associated Press, and the US and Iraqi Governments, at least 400 Militia members have been killed or captured in Baghdad this month by US and Iraqi forces, and over 100 Sunni and Al Qaeda insurgents have been killed by American troops in Anbar province. This proves that even under the toughest circumstances, American forces will outfight and outkill our enemy, and since 60,0000 insurgents have been killed since the start of the war, it is obvious that we have done better then the Brits, Israelis or any other military in the world, under similar circumstances. I welcome your opinions on this subject.

If the DPRK attacks its neighbor, Japan, or the United States with a nuclear weapon, would you (Americans) support a retalitation in kind? It's long been the policy of the United States to respond in kind, but would the American public support it if Seoul, Tokyo, or Honolulu were hit with such a weapon?
