I suspect that the Repubicans under Bush would be flat or on a long-term slow downtrend without Iraq.

But we do have the Iraq occupation, and Republicans are tanking -- they are going to take a bath in the November elections! It'll slap the smirks off "W" and Cheney's faces.

I'm a life-long Republican, voting a Democratic ticket for the first time this year. Usually I vote by individual, but not this year. I think it's time for the GOP to go away, it has been in the hands of hijackers for the last 4 administrations, and no, I don't think that without the trumped-up war it would be gaining in popularity. If it were not for the war in Iraq people would be looking a lot harder on the total failures elsewhere, and the stock market would still be way below where it was when Clinton left office.

Normally, 6-th year elections (which is what is coming up) sees a significant loss for the President's party in Congress. I believe that the averages are like 20% turnover, which is what I suspect will happen this time. That would give the GOP a 2-seat lead in the Senate, and a slim majority in the House as well.

Given the GOP leads in the Governor's seats, as well as their seats in Congress and control of the White House, there wasn't much farther "up" they could go.

So, combining those two factors, I'd say that they'd still be faced with many of the same election worries they have today.

Yes, I do. It helped them steal the last election. Keeping a Nation at heightened states of alert while repeating all the talking points endlessly.

I am very worried about the reliability of the upcoming election results. E voting machines are laughably easy to hack.

I think it is past time that we reel in the Lobbies, and the insane amounts of money thrown away during every election cycle. Much of it going to pay for negative adds that continue to divide our Country. Honesty and accountability have to be built Back into the system.

I won't tell anyone how to vote, but I ask everyone who reads this to remember that Every vote counts.

And please say a little prayer that this time, every vote is counted.

So then what, you allow the Democrats to move in and raise taxes, eliminate tax cuts, ruin the economy, and bog down the government with impeachment hearings.

I suggest you look into what Pelosi and crew want to do. While the Republicans have done some bad, we need to take out the moderates in the grass roots.

Will the Democrats give amnesty to illegals? YES
Will the Democrats raise taxes and kill the economy? YES

THINK ABOUT THIS ONE
