I mean North Korea is setting off nukes and threatening to use them on anyone, including USA. Israel is "sleeping with the enemy". Iraq is rapidly moving towards to anarchy. The whole middle east is a raging war zone. Who knows what the hell sneaky Russia is up to these days. Yea, Im going to Lowes to find a good deal on a bomb shelter.

The guy Im in love with left to go to basic training Aug.16, 2006. His eight wks is up now--Should he be graduating from basic. I thought basic training was eight wks, not more. Will he come home for Thanksgiving? I wrote him 2 letters already. I just sent the 3rd letter off yesterday. I was wondering why he hasnt responded back yet. He cant even take 10-20mins. to say Hi. What's up with that? We had intimate relationship when he left(not going together) "you know". Before he left, our communication skills wasnt good at all. He would mainly have these moody attitudes with towards me. Ex: I would call him--he answer the phone Hello, what u want. It's like he dont want anything to do with me. Most of the time he would ignore my phone. We have been intimate about 4X's. Wasnt I just a piece of you know what to him? Help!!!

My DH is AD and has been in for over 9 yrs. He left for deployment 2 weeks ago for 6 months, although he's not in a hazardous area. We have been together for 3 years, but only married for 1 with no kids. I love my DH more than anything and belive in the vows we took. I KNOW my DH feels the same way. But, he has psychological problems that were not diagnosed until after he joined. Since I've known him, he's been on tons of meds for these problems, but they don't help. Infact, they make him worse. I have been by his side his entire treatment. We relocated in the spring and things have since exploded. We have repeatedly gone to the FSC, medical, etc. to try to get him into counseling to help him. They have refused to help us and deal with these issues. The FSC tried to get him to divorce me, because if he gets help, then he might be med. discharged. The problem isn't me, but they have threatened his career if he doesn't. He is very afraid to lose his job-he sent me papers.

My husband left for Iraq two weeks ago. Right now he's in Kuwait doing training. He has only called me twice and I've gotten no emails. I miss him so much, and I'm kinda bothered he doesn't miss me enough to call me more than twice in two weeks. Other wives from the same company hear from their husbands and boyfriends every other day. I know everyone is different and men, especially don't think like women, but it still bothers me. He was really cold and distant the day he left and every phone call since.
So, what is he going through, how hard, exactly, is this for him?

when i become a doctor of physical therapy, it says on their (army) site that medical professionals don't go through basic training like the rest of the soldiers and instead go though an officer training camp which sounds really like a watered down version of basic training... is it?

i really hope its not because i want to be just like a regular soldier who goes through basic but i can only join once i get my degree...

Is there a limit as to how many times you can join the military?
I have gotten out twice, both were honarable discharges, both were non-conduct related or bad discharges. With the current situation in iraq, would it be easy or difficult for me to re-enlist?

The problem with Iraq as I see it is that we are using our military as a police force. Our military is designed to be warriors. We won the Iraq battle a few years ago. I feel that keeping our troops in Iraq is like a turkey shoot for the terrorists. We need to get our boys home. What is the best solution to the Iraq quagmire?
