Your answer should be in comparable wars where soviet made equipment was used against American. Iraq used top of the line Soviet weapons, and the Americans went thru them quite easily. I realize that the Russian weapons were manned by Iraqis, but in the first gulf war in the 90's not one American was killed in the M1A1 Abrams tank, while they destroyed over a thousand Russian built tanks. The Russian MIG 31 was the closest to equal I could find.

the US has better weapons eccept when your comparing the m-16 to the ak-47. The ak-47 is nothing new and is still one of the greatest and most dependable firearms to date.
