1944 to early 1945. You see, we had some tough battles, Iwo Jima was one, but the kamikaze's took a toll on the ships, sinking many destroyers who formed the screen for our carriers.
It was said that Mr Suribachi cost the US about 83% casualties during that battle.

1942 was the hardest because of our losses at Pearl Harbor, and the immense task set before an ill-equipped armed forces, we were close to losing several times.
In several battles, there was only one capitol ship between the Japanese Imperial navy and the West coast.
Thank God for our heroic men and women who fought the fight

'42 was bad for the early losses, although Coral Sea and Midway stopped and turned.
I would have to say 1945, with Corregador, Iwo Jima, Okinawa and the kamakazi pilots

1945, because of the Kamikazes. 1942 was second, because we had low morale, reduced fighting strength, not enough ships, planes, vehicles.

1942. We were on the verge of losing.
God must have something to do with it.
