when the police need to search a place they write an affidavit, then they take it to a judge and if the judge approves it becomes a search/arrest warrant. here what i don't understand, when the police show you the search warrant, what happens to you if you say "sorry im still not gonna let you in". can they arrest you for it, just for saying no?
so what happens to you if you deny thier request?

I was given a ticket because my Drivers License address was different from my insurance! I told the officer that the insurance address was my campus apartment and I still lived with my parents outside of school (College)! Did he have a cause to pull me over once he realized that my registration tags were current after running my license plate before getting out of his car? I asked him why did he pull me over and he never answered prompting to see my license and insurance. After returning from his car with a ticket he asked me to sign my name after I made a fuss about not signing the ticket (promise to appear) he told me he pulled me over for the reason listed above! I live in Texas and a 06 sticker is green the new registration sticker are the Texas flag. Officers whats the logic for this? In Texas our registration stickers or located on the windshield of our cars!

When they pull me over, do I have to answer their random questions?
They ask me everything....
Where did you come from, Why did you go there, And what did you see there?
Where are you going?
Why are you going there?
Where do you live?
How long you lived there?
Do you go to school? Which School you go to?

I had a single cop ask me all those questions, then he gave me a ticket.
Do I have to answer any questions like those I listed above?

Which methods (i.e., who do they speak to) to find out how many skeletons you have in your closet--or "walk-in" closet, as the case may be. = )

If they interviewed current or former friends, wouldn't this blow their cover? After all, what kind of friend would give out potentially-damaging information about another friend? Or, even if they did (such as if they felt under duress by the detective's questioning), wouldn't they tell the friend about what had happened?

What if someone is a loner who has new current (or former) friends? Wouldn't that make the PI's job difficult?

What if your credit is squeaky-clean? ...or if your prior employers don't remember you?

Further, how do you substantiate rumor/hearsay?

*** BTW, did you know??? In 1999, Texas Governor George W. Bush hired a private detective to investigate himself, because he was so worried about what kinds of things from his past his opponents would be able to use against him in the upcoming presidential election.

So I was in a parking lot of a Grocery Store at 2 am the other night just in my car listening to my music quietly and doing some school work because I have a hard time sleeping at night and this cop pulls up and parks behind me. He comes up and starts asking me dumb random questions.
I told him that I have nothing and I'm doing nothing illegal. Just here listening to my music reading a book, cause I usually can't sleep until late and I dont want to go home. He kept asking me why I was sitting here. So I asked him what the big deal is? He says, this is private property and the grocery store is closed, you cant be here. There was no sign saying private property and everyone has to leave when the store closes. He then told me to leave, so I took off. I don't want trouble. Is the cop right? Where can I go in my car and sit if I don't want to go home? If I go for example to a 24 Mcdonalds parking, then its ok? Anyone know the "law" regarding this matter? Gee, I can't just park?

He drank a bunch of mouthwash last night and got arrested.

2007-12-03 08:56:50 · 27 answers · asked by Anonymous

Crime code for it is 18 PA.C.S. paragraph 6308.

It was actually an underage drinking case in 2004.

I did some research, and it seems that maximum sentence might be up to 6 months.
Is this right?
I know that we have police officers visiting these discussions.
Can you please help?

Thank you.

I'm in good shape, I've been weightlifting and playing football since Sophomore year at high school. I took a course last year, I'm a Senior now, that gave me 12 credits towards a degree in Criminal Justice. I've had around a 3.2 all through high school, and my dad's a Sergeant with IPD. How hard would it be for me to get a job as a cop right out of high school?

my personal favorite is watching a cop kick someone over and over in the head while they are face down on the ground while shouting "stop resisting!" over and over, LOL

so police, am i correct in my assessment that as long as you shout "stop resisting" when kicking a persons head in while they are on the ground, you can avoid accountability by claiming the person was resisting?

was driving my daughter to school and we were running late.School starts @ 9:15 and the school zone lights were flashing and it was already 9:20.So a cop was sitting waiting to nail someone which happened to be me and pulls into the school parking lot and sees my daughter getting out of the car and tells me I was speeding.I said that the school lights should not still be on if school starts @ 9:15 and it was 9:20 and everyone is in school and there are no children present. He tells me to tell that to the judge and the school zone flashing sign stays on till 9:30,He gave me a 149.00 ticket and said have a nice day!! Do you think I have a chance of winning in court since the flashing lights should of not been on since school started 5 minutes earlier?

I'm writing some fiction about a situation involving police, and I'm curious how this would work:

If police made an arrest, what would/should their response be if some bystander from the crowd steps forward and starts mouthing off to them about the arrest? Specifically, if the police officer is going by the book and being a professional about the situation, how should they respond to a protester in the crowd who has stepped forward to get in their face?

Thanks.
