Not only should you sue the department, the officer involved should be hit with a tazer.

Ummm, I don't think a cop will arrest you for speeding unless you take them on a high speed chase but only then will you piss off the officer and he will arrest you. If you pulled over than just pay the ticket.

no, do not sue, the officer is not obliged to fulfill any fantasies you may have--maybe if you had sped away while he was writing the ticket, he would have pursued you, chased, cuffed, arrested, and possibly even probed you...

You can sue anyone for anything.

However, if your suit is not successful, the Police Department can have you prosecuted for bringing a frivolous lawsuit.

I have gotten a speeding tkt on more than one occassion (unfortunately) and I was NEVER handcuffed. I don't think handcuffing is SOP when getting a traffic tkt.

It was just a traffic stop, right. Why are you whining, and demanding to be handcuffed. Or are you just in to being bound up by a man in a uniform?

What a bizarre coincidence.

I usually insist on having my temperature taken while handcuffed to the bed...

Hmmm. Yes, definitely you should. That way you can make an a** of yourself, and anyone else that you involve.

yes you should. it's a sad day when you need a good handcuffing and the police wont even help you. write your local editorial page....dont let this go.
