I've been knowing this girl a long time and she's been all about telling me she's in college and has a good job and all that so I finally asked her out and we've been having a good relationship for about six months and sleeping together and everything and then I found out she's pregnant and when I found out she was pregnant I told her that I wanted to move in together and then she tells me she lied about everything and she's actually only 15 and lives with her parents and now Imma little scarred that they is gonna put me in jail. So if I go to the sherrif and turn myself in and tell the story will it help me out from going to jail cause I can't be going to jail or I'm going to lose my scholarship and everything.

If the gun is to be blamed for crimes and deaths around the world we should also:
Remove all those people from the Hall of fame and just leave the baseball bat, the foot ball, tennis racket, soccer ball, boxing gloves etc. etc. why are we inducting the person and not their equipment into the hall of fame?

In my opinion, is not the bat, but the batter that deserves the credit and at the same time, is not the gun but person that also deserves the “credit”……Common sense!

Today, I was running a few minutes late for a dentist appointment. So I was speeding on a not-so-busy highway.
The county police pulled me over and gave me the third degree almost right away. I wasn’t rude, or anything with him but very cooperative. Anyways, he treated me like a hardened criminal. My plates had expired less then a month ago but I neglected to renew them right away due to family medical problems with my dad and I am temp. living out of state. I was unable to find my incurrence which is current. The cop gave me a ticket for speeding, plates, insurance and claimed I passed someone in an intersection which I didn’t do, but I was so shaken up at the time, I didn’t even realize he was charging and ticketing me with that. He impounded my car due to the tags being expired and also hounded me if I had drugs in the car and was going to search it. I don’t have any contraband in the car and didn’t care for the accusations. Can he impound my car like that in the state of Indiana for expired tags?
Also what’s the laws as far as search and seizures go? I never gave him permission to search it, he just said he was. And what constitutes harassment? I have never been treated this way by a cop in my life.

How did your spouse feel when you told them you wanted to be a police officer. Did they support you 100%? Or were they worried for your being, because law enforcement is a dangerous job. And if you have kids, do they want to follow your footsteps. Thanks in advance.

1. I carry a screwdrive with me. Is that considered a weapon?

2.Also I am a minor and I carry a lighter. I don't think that is a problem, but places like walmart don't let minors buy them.

3.Lastly, I have a litle bag of bobbie pins. (you can use them to pick certain locks) Is that okay? I know it's legal, but people say that you could be arrested under suspicion.

My dog is VERY protective of me. I live in a shared house with one of my friends and 2 other males. One of the males has been very aggressive and threatened me more than once. He's also been violent.

Normally my dogs the most placid thing you'll ever come across but when this guy threatens me he's a totally different dog.

IF he ever bit this guy it would be in my defence and would be in our house, so not on public land. I can also prove he's been threatening and I have police reports against him.

Where would I stand?

After the Robert Hawkins shooting rampage of Dec. 5, 2007, where 8 innocent people were killed and I believe 4 others wounded, are you going to think twice before going to the mall? If you have the gun licence to pack a firearm, will you now take it with you to the mall? Do you think it is advisable for us to get some kind of weapon, e.g. pepper spray, a tazer, a hand gun, before we go shopping at a mall? Do you think all malls should now have armed guards on duty?

What the hell is our crazy, mixed up society coming to?

My best friend wants to become a police "woman" but her fiance just got accused of something (don't know what he did yet) and got sent to jail upto the court date comes. Can she still become a cop if her husband to be goes to prison or jail? I heard somewhere that it's really tough to get into the police dept if you have family that has been to prison or have broken the law. Is this true?

So, after watching the news and hearing about the Omaha incident, I wonder... if there was a person in the mall, at the time of the shooting, with a concealed weapon permit, carrying a gun, would he be allowed to use his gun to take the crazed killer down?
It only seems logical to me, that if you have a gun (and have a concealed weapon permit), and someone is shooting innocent people, you would become a hero for taking that person down using your own gun. But in reality, it seems more like you would get in trouble.

I know it varies from state to state, but what is the 'general consensus'?

Ok here's the details, please help:
I live in Arizona, USA and I got a ticket on 9/02/2007 in New Mexico, USA for speeding. You have 30 days to pay your ticket so I paid the ticket on 9/27/2007. Yesterday I recieved a letter in the mail from the Arizona MVD stating that they suspended my license for "Failure to comply to a traffic citation". I called the MVD in New Mexico and they said that the citation had been satisfied and my license was suspended in error, so they faxed a letter to Arizona stating that it was suspended in error and to remove the suspension. I called the MVD in Arizona to make sure it was taken care of and they said it will take at least 48 hours for it to happen. If I drive and get pulled over I will be in alot of trouble. How am I suposed to get to work and do the things I need to do without driving? I am also trying to get into the Police department and I won't be eligable if I have a suspension on my license within the last 3 years. How does this affect me?

I find their being used far more here in Canada than anywhere else. I think it's wrong to use either weapons just for the sake of the police feeling they have more control and power over helpless individuals! Personally I think should be banned.

I recently got a speeding ticket by a local cop. He said I was doing 51 mph in a 35 mile zone. I know I wasn't going that fast. The road was very curvy and hilly. I didn't see him, but my husband did. When he told me there was a cop, I looked at my speedometer. I was going 40. This cop was using VASCAR, where he measures the time it takes to go between two white lines on the road. He was parked in a driveway between two parked cars. My husband saw the light sticking out above the one parked car. I believe there was no way that he could have clearly seen the lines on the road. I asked him to show me proof that I was speeding and he told me if I wanted proof, I would have to fight the ticket, which I did. In court, this officer swore under oath that we was pulled out far enough from the parked cars to see the lines. This is absolutely not the truth. He lied under oath. When I wanted my husband to testify. The district justice would not let him. I feel violated. HELP!!
