I went through an intersection that I thought was still at a yellow light. I got a flash, indicating to me I was snapped by a red light camera. Now, is it pretty much guaranteed that I will get a ticket in the mail? Do they just need your license plate number to ticket you? Or are there some cases where they review the tape and not write/send a ticket? Btw, this happened in LA county where the ticket is $381.

I was going 96 in a 70 on a highway in GA. I have heard enough about how irresponsible it was. I know I was being stupid and dont need a lecture. I want to go to court to see if I can get my fine of 704.00 reduced or my points taken off my record. If I go to court what plea should I enter? Not Guilty, Guilty, or No-Lo? I have no citations on my record. This would be my first offense. Is there a plea that works better than others when hoping to get penalties reduced?

Respectfully,

Ryan

It was an act of terrorisim, shouldn't it be looked into again?

Could Drew Peterson be tied to that one too? He lived in the area at the time. I think he very well could have, hence his smug and cocky self assured ways.

I saw on the TV once that an ex police seargent had written a book explaining all the "cons" police use etc and how to get out of things etc. I saw that one of the major ones was, if pulled over by the police, dont EVER EVER show them your driving licence, infact dont take it with you when in car. Why is this? I dont understand the reaosn behind it? Im in the UK remember.

Hi

Our car's horn goes but my partner hasn't yet put the new button on (new wheel and button) so the wires are sort of hanging out but not long enough to hinder the driving.

He was fined today for a faulty horn!!! He tooted it for the cop but he just gave him the fine anyway - $75AU!!!

Is that possible? Or should we dispute it?

Why is it that in Europe, almost every officer has a leash on their weapon while in the U.S. that has never really caught on?

What are the pros and cons of one?

Let's say that you're at a party that get's busted and you've drank a can of beer in the last hour, (you're about 140 pounds)
how much do you think that would show up on a breathilyzer?

Okay, so in Illinois, if you are at a party that gets busted, and you're high (on weed) but have no paraphanelia or marijuana on you, and aren't OBVIOUSLY high, can you get arrested or cited anyway?

Hey

I got a ticket for having a dead taillight. I live in the state of California; I’m just wondering what I need to do to take care of it. I can install the new taillight, but can I just go to my local city and get an officer to check that I have fixed my taillight? Or do I have to go to the city where I got the ticket in? Any help welcome, I’m confused by the ticket. I can’t even read the officer’s writing as to when and where I need to show up.

Thanks.

I'm not eligable for traffic school, lets just get that out first. I got a speeding ticket at 10pm going 63 in a 40. I dont feel like i was driving that fast, however i just got a new SUV about 3-4 weeks prior and it never feels like your traveling that fast; previously i drove a sedan. on top of that it accerates effortlessly. I dont usually drive in this area, although it is by my house so i guess it doesnt matter. In any case, i guess thats still speeding. The officer pulled me over and honestly..i didnt know why. He ticketed me but he marked "civil court" on it. He also failed to mark that he used a radar to clock my speed. Now im not one to try to get out of things and im sure to a degree i was speeding if he says so but, does this give me any upper hand, or leway?? Anyways i guess my main question is.... what it going to happen tommorrow when i walk in court am i being tried as a civil ticket at criminal speeds??? Maybe someone can clarify?

But anyways... i told an aunt what happened and shes very angry and wants to know whats going on...
I gave her the name of the cop that came out, my address, the time they came out ect. She called the none emergencie number for the cops and got the phone number of the cop that came out to our house...
She left him a voicemail asking whats happening ect.
If he calls my aunt back, can he tell her information about what happened? the incident and other things? or is there a privacy law? thanks so much!

Earlier this evening the police busted in, yes busted in, my boyfriend's home. With no warrant. On no charge, at the moment, but once inside found a cat litter jug full of dirt, for the cats obviously, and then proceeded to accuse my boyfriend and his father of illegally smoking and growing marijuana. But the original start of the trouble was when his sister's mother told social services that she and her ex-husband still had JOINT custody. Even after showing proof otherwise the social worker said that the mother had the right to remove the daughter from the home. Which, I know is bullcrap. She gave up her rights completely when she signed over the kids to their dad. But they took the dad to jail, removed his sister from the home, and ordered him off the premises but he could only stay with family. Even though the place where he was staying was his uncle's they said he could not stay. Now his uncle is alone, and terminally ill. Not only that, but they said I was not allowed there.

People are always complaining about police harassment, even though they are continuing to break the law and act in a suspicious manner. Aren't these people harassing the officers by forcing the officers to repeatedly detain them?

a little something i have trouble understanding.A friend of mine is a cop and is a very decent bloke,he says he is a strict christian, goes to church every sunday etc but come monday morning he straps on a side arm and goes on patrol.my problem is if i was a christian i would not place myself in a position where i might have to kill someone,i know all about protecting the public and upholding the law but by putting on that weapon you put yourself in a position to break the christian law of thou shall not kill,i find it a little hypocritical

He is on probation for a class B misdemeanor, criminal mischief charge. The county just picked up the 'false identity' thing and has issued a warrant for a class b misdemeanor. What is the most likely outcome of this, extension or revocation? He has never had a dirty UA or missed reporting but is a little behind on his payments. They have been willing to work with us on that so far but i'm afraid this new charge will change things.
Also we need to move to another county- in two days- due to financial reasons. How do we go about this without it being considered as absconding?
Help!!!
