If you commit a crime in a park - national or state - can a park ranger arrest you, or do they have to summon the local authorities. Or I guess sheriff/ state patrol in the case of isolated parks.

is it okay if I have had 12 beers tonight? I am 6 feet tall and weigh about 240lb. When I write this I feel like a giant but I am actually pretty and you wouldn't know I weight 240lbs. Anyways, can I drink the 12 pack tonight and still do fine on the blood draw drug test tomorrow? I have a very high tolerance and alcohol is not a crime so I am wondering here......I am not suppposed to eat or drink after 9p.m tonight so let me know your thoughts......I am just relaxing and watching football so by tomorrow morning I should be fine. What do you all think?

I was pulled over a couple weeks ago in Missouri for going 98 in a 70 mph zone. My license is intermediate and it was 5:09 A.M in the morning. I know I will be receiving community service hours and a driving class, but could I also receive a bigger punishment? I.E jail for two days, or license suspended for a year? Also Curfew in Missouri is 1:00 A.m. to 5:00 A.M. in the morning. And the only offense listed on my ticket was exceeding posted speed limit.

The seller has been arrested by the Police for taking money from a number of people and not sending the respective items. They have been interviewed and bailed on four occasions. They have however not yet charged the individual as they state that the seller has refused to tell them anything, and that the Crown Prosecutor states that there is insufficient evidence at this stage. Surely if this person was going to be charged they would have been so already. All I want is my money back, and if this seller walks I will not get anything ! Does anyone have any experience in this field or indeed advice ? Thanks !

For example, what if something were to happen at work or outside of work and you had to go to the PD/SD and they had to tell you that the person who committed the crime against you was a sex offender, and you had no previous knowledge of this fact? This was the "best" example I could come up with.

I had a misdemeanor sealed Jan. 2007. After checking background check sites shortly after the sealing, I still saw the dismissed misdemeanor. Since the courts update the databases quartly, I decided to wait. Well, I check a few of the big background check companies, Intellus, ussearch.com, and also the courts and it doesn't show up.

I also checked choicepoint, the largest repisotory of public information, and it doesn't show up as well.

Should I safely assume that employers will not have access to this record?

I'm thinking a misdemeanor, but if so, what usually happens when charged?

Certainly not prison, right?
So a fine? Community service?
Do cops usually give a warning, or bust you on a first offense?

(and no, im not planning to play my music too loud, lol. just curious, because i think this happened to a friend once, got cited for this)

Is it against the law to park on the other side of the street in front of someone's driveway? I have a neighbor who is a real $#@! who complains about this.

To explain it better, if you're coming down the street, his house and driveway are on the left and my house is on the right. I park on the right side of the street, which lines up with his driveway on the left side.

well i have 2 questions, the first one is if im having a small party at my apartment(i am 18 by the way) and i have friends come over say the youngest to come is maybe 16 but no younger than that and we are drinking and cops show up due to a noise complaint if me the resident steps out and i close the door behind me to talk to the cops, can i refuse for them to come in if they ask? do i even have to answer the door? As for my second question one morning before school i left my car at a friends house and i got a ride to school from him and on the way there we smoked some weed, and when we got to school our teacher noticed and we were sent to the office. the principle said they were going to search my friends car and that they were going to send a dog to my friends house to search my car to see if i had more weed in the car (which there was)he told me if i kept saying that we didnt smoke that they were gonna search it but if i told the truth that they wouldn't. was that just to scare me?

I got arrested a few weeks ago in Wisconsin for DUI and had to spend a mandatory 12 hours in county jail. When I was released the deputy had paperwork with my picture and other information on it. When I go to court, will they give me a copy of that stuff if I want it?

My husband quit the job cuz the boss wouldnt pay him. He never did finish paying for the truck. The ex boss was told for 1 yr to come pick the truck up, which was broke down. He never came to get it and always said pay me when you can. my husband, found a guy who needed the parts off the truck, he sold it to him in agreement that the guy would pay $800 (what was owed to ex-boss) at $100 a wk. The guy only paid $275. Now after all this time the boss and the guy show up at our house threating to beat hubbys a** if he dont pay. Later today a detective calls my hubby and says he will have to pay the money to either guy or charges will be filed and its a state jail offense. The ex boss didnt tell the detective that he had already given the title to the other guy! nor did he tell himhe had showed up @ our house threating to beat someone up. The only thing I can find online about this law is "its a state offense if 2 or more cars, trucks are involved" Any1 know??
