Is it allowed for a cop to let someone else drive his or her police car, or is that not permitted because of the equipment inside and the possibility of maybe misusing the car (like running red lights) or whatever. Just curious...

Several weeks ago, my daughter's bike and my mower disappeared from my yard. I called the cops, but with nothing to go on, nothing ever became of it. I walked out to my mail box an hour ago and as I was standing there, some teenage boys that live in a house a block or so away from mine came driving by with their windows down and the passenger yelled "Thanks for the mower!" and the driver said "My sister thanks you for the bike, too!"

I looked over at their license plate- which was a personalize plate- not hard to remember- and came inside and called the cops.

If they'd only known when to keep their mouth shut...

You hear more and more about people dying of being tasered.

law enforcement calls tasers a less than lethal weapon that officers are trained to use to control potentially deadly situations. Well... if a person can die from being tasered, then I think they are " Lethal Wapons". They say that Tasers in itself does not cause a death.... Just like guns " in itself" do not cause death..... the people who use them do !

So are they saying that they DONT ask or give physicals to police officers or other people who are training to use the tasers and being tased as their training???

Lately, late at night, we've had someone come to the door, knock 4 times, and run. We're all asleep at the time it happens and by the time we're finally up, they're gone. Well they struck for the second time last night. 1:05AM. What can I do to catch them? Set up booby traps? Any ideas? Just want to scare them away.

This is in addition to my previously asked question that I did not word properly, a officer and my wife texted 3000 times in 2 months, starting at 1am to 8pm, my question is in a dept that has moral/ethical standards to uphold is he allow to text someone wife (or anybody for that matter) up to 100 times a day when he should be working (protecting us) how can any officer do his job when all he is doing is texting in his patrol car and not doing his job. Is this a act that can get him fired/under investigation. It does not seem like we (the tax payer) should be paying him to text married women while on duty. if anybody can tell me with certainty if this is a direct violation please advise. Claude

I'm extremely scared. I'm also confused. If you keep your mouth shut, you're an accessory to a crime, but if you report a crime, you're at risk for being murdered. You can't win either way. Me personally, I'd rather report a crime & die innocently, rather than spending physical eternity in jail just for doing nothing.

A. Phone the fuzz and report a body, and a good deal of cash has been found. It would make Barney, and Andy a might proud.

B. Phone the police to report a body, after putting the cash in a safe location for your later use. Momma didn't raise no fool!

C. Grab the cash and say nothing to no one.

Some one steels your car with only liability ins and wrecks it. They get caught. They pay the court, city, and probation fees. But nothing to the one that they had stole from.

that he and his dad were taking care of it...but we were sure as heck wrong....these tickets were issued in May one for nosie orandance and another for speeding without insurance. We called the court system and he has a warrant out for his arrest...we know he has to turn himself in, but we don't want him to miss thanksgiving and we don't have the money to pay the tickets off...My wife's family has a history with the law, but most of them are good honest people and it would be very sad if Khalid(my BIL) went to jail durning the holidays because his younger brothe is already serving time...Khalid is no crimminal, he just didn't know how urgent it was to pay the tickets off and he has been dealing with depression and schizophrenia this year....what should we do...the warrant has been put out today....???

Well my sister bought a cellphone off of craigslist but it turns out that the phone was stolen and cannot be activated cause it is stolen. Yes it was dumb thing of her buying it before asking for the esn number and verifying if it was a clean phone, but now it is too late. Well I want to help her recuperate her money by either getting the police on them or at least scare them that i have the police on them to the point of them giving the money back. The dumb thing of the seller is that the seller gave her his cellphone number and home address. With this info I want to file a police report but can I do such thing. Can you file a police report for someone selling you a stolen phone without the concern of the buyer that is stolen?

Ok. I heard this conversation on a gas station in front of my apt complex. This mother said that she was trired of her husband and child, that in more than one ocassion she wanted to kill herself and her daughter, also, she abuse of her daugher hitting her. I heard that she wanted to take her husband weapon to finish with the "situation". I was very surprised to hear that, and I have knowledge that this person goes to church everysunday...and want to do that? She was just angry or what? I dont know what to do...I wanted to call 911, but i thought, what if she just was lying and nothing really happens, I would get in trouble. She was talking with other woman about that, and the other woman just stood there hearing...nothing more. I coudn't hear any more bcz they left. but I know where she lives, bcz is in the same street that I do, I also know her name. What I should do? I'm really confuse.

I mean come on!!!!!!!

This is serious you guys. This boy was nearly killed. I used to frequent this area before Hollywood became a warzone. My sister's boyfriend got jumped just because he was protecting our friend who was getting harassed. Getting into fights is one thing, but attempted manslaughter is a completely different story!!!!
