Lately, late at night, we've had someone come to the door, knock 4 times, and run. We're all asleep at the time it happens and by the time we're finally up, they're gone. Well they struck for the second time last night. 1:05AM. What can I do to catch them? Set up booby traps? Any ideas? Just want to scare them away.

You don't want to set up a booby trap. They are illegal.
What you need to do is set up a camera, multiple cameras if possible. Consider the lighting and the angle you need to catch. If you want to really go hi-tech, you could install a motion sensor to trip a camera with a flash so they already know they're caught.

Booby traps could present legal and liability issues. If it was a real problem, I'd lean towards the security camera. I would want to know who it was, and perhaps figure out the reason before I escalated the issue.

go to a sporting goods store and get you a camera that most hunters put up in the woods to get deer on film. They come with a flash so your knock knock guys know that they are caught on film.....these camera are motion sensitive and you can get a cheap one for less than a $100..............
