If the pimp can be proven to be involved, he could get as much or more jail time as the prostitute. Problem is, the girls are the one's on the street and are vulnerable to arrest. The pimps stay in the shadows like the cowards they are, and thus are harder for law enforcement to snag. Let's be honest here, it is time to legalize prostitution. Make it legal and the girls can run their business safely and keep most of the money.

You haven't shown in your question that anyone else was involved. Based on that assumption the only violation would be the solicitation. Also, we are assuming this happened in a place where prostitution was illegal.
