Several weeks ago, my daughter's bike and my mower disappeared from my yard. I called the cops, but with nothing to go on, nothing ever became of it. I walked out to my mail box an hour ago and as I was standing there, some teenage boys that live in a house a block or so away from mine came driving by with their windows down and the passenger yelled "Thanks for the mower!" and the driver said "My sister thanks you for the bike, too!"

I looked over at their license plate- which was a personalize plate- not hard to remember- and came inside and called the cops.

If they'd only known when to keep their mouth shut...

They stole them from my yard in broad daylight while we were inside eating lunch. I normally lock everything up at night.

At least you got your mower and bike back. I think they are more of jerks than anything.

I had my truck stolen once. About 4 weeks later, the cops found it abandoned in some apartment complex. Long story short....they had left a credit card receipt under the passenger side seat. I believe they're still doing time in a prison near livermore.

It's the criminals that do the dumbest things. But if it gets them caught, good for us!

I love how a Fresno football player was drunk one night, drove into a condo (hit the bathroom area with the resident on the pot, of all things), and ran off. So he's suspended from the team, has a pending DUI, hit and run, suspended license. Then the day after he is reinstated to the team, he is caught with expired tags, and busted for driving with a suspended license. So he's off the team again. Gotta love it...

Lol. That's good of them to tell you.

I wonder that myself almost daily if people are dumber or if it's just me. Sometimes I find out that it's not just me. Other times I'm not so sure. But one thing, it is all complicated.
It's never black and white.

Someone made a good comment about making sure you keep your stuff locked up. I always do. (experience) But my stepkids haven't learned that lesson yet. They have been lucky so far. I don't think it's dumb of you to leave them out.
It's just a smarter decision to not leave them out for temptation. People don't seem to care these days.

Stealing bike: $100
Stealing lawn mower: $350
Driving by the owner and telling him you did it, Priceless.

Well just be thankful for the stupidity of teenage boys. Justice was served, that's all that matters.

HAHAHA I never care when dumbass criminals make my job easier by shouting an utterance like that. That is admissible in court and can be grounds for a search.

two words: JOB SECURITY

Dumber by the day. I sometimes wonder how some people have survived as long as they have being so ignorant.
