What are the chances someone will be let out of probation earlier than the 5 years that they are given the pleasure of serving?

How often does a feller get taken off of probation early? And how soon hmm?

I got a ticket for going 86 in a 65mph zone. I heard if you are going a certain amount over the speed limit you can't clear it with traffic school and it stays on your record for a while and thus would raise car insurance.

I've been searching the internet but can't find this anywhere, is it even true and if so would I be able to take traffic school to clear mine or was I going too much over? I'm sure it will say when I get the ticket fine mailed to me but this just happened the other day and I want to know now.

It was in Santa Barbara, CA if that makes any difference, not sure if theres a national/state/county rule on this. Thanks

I have never been in trouble with the law (besides traffic tickets), and an employer did a background check on me and called me and asked me if the Law enforcement ever been to my house for any reason. (note: I live with my fiance and we have never called the police for any reason on eachother or on anyone else. My fiance have never been in trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket.) Bottom line is, we never been in trouble, only people we know and that's the people who've never lived with us but have used our address before to get their mail.

On these police shows, when I see the police let their dogs go and overdo their attacks!

Or when I see police over use their tazer guns on suspects, and take enjoyment on over using them!
I think all police actions should be filmed and recorded!

They took my panties as evidence since I didn't report it until a couple days later. That's a long story...let me get to the point!! This man is still working in this hospital...they took DNA samples from him and my panties which I am almost certain have his DNA on them. Does anyone know why it is taking so long to get the results? How long does it take? The detective I'm working with has told me 6 weeks...then 4 months...and now he has told me a different amount of time. Do you think they are not so concerned since this man (rapist) is also an EX-COP?

My friend asked me to cosign for a car loan. I agreed. When we got to the car dealership they stated that her credit was to bad..They told me that I would have to get the car on my own. she promised that she would make all payments on time. I went ahead and put the car in my name. Here it is 2 years later and she has not made a payment. I have went to her job to get the car. I found out that she has other people dropping her off. I went by her place to discover that she has moved. All numbers have been changed. I contacted the police and was told that I could not report the car stolen. I amm in the process of buying a new home and I really really need this extra income...if I could at least get the damn car back. Even if I cant sell it at least I would have the car. What can I do

On Saturday morning 10/6/07, I received a $125 speeding ticket for (supposedly) driving 5 miles above the posted limit!!!! The ticket says the limit is 50mph and that my actual speed was 55 mph. (On CT State Route 63, between Naugatuck and Bethany; clear sunny conditions).
My understanding is that drivers generally have 5 mile "wiggle room" around posted limits. If this is true, how is fining me legal?
Needless to say, I am NOT paying this ticket. I am going to mail it back with the "Not Guilty" box checked off.
However, I am very upset about this. I have been driving for almost 15 years and have NEVER received a speeding ticket!!
I assume I will have to appear in court. A co-worker told me that I have no concrete defense because technically I WAS speeding (WTF??!!!).
In court, when standing before the judge, I'm going to have to defend myself with something more substantial than "Because, your honor, it's ridiculous!!" HELP!!
