Actually it is a good idea to do so, just to make sure someone didn't use your ID when they got arrested

You seem to be talking about two different records.

Police records are in house only. If you have any contact with them, they will include your information in their database, but this is not released to others. This would include traffic stops, traffic accidents, or if you were a witness or victim.

Criminal records are created from fingerprint submissions. If the police did not roll fingerprints, it does not show up on your criminal record.

Fingerprints for the purpose of identification do not get submitted, they would be returned to your parents.

When you are arrested, booked, found guilty/innocent, tickets. All those things that have happened to you. That's all on your record.

If you haven't done anything, then you don't have a record.

Go to any police station with proof of identity (driver's license will do) and ask them to run a history check.

If you have not been arrested then you have nothing to worry about. Just stay out of trouble!
