I completed a credible academy back in March, in california. I know I have some background issues but I didn't really think they would hinder my chances like this. My issues surround my driving record, employment history, and some other regretable life experiences. I am 22 yrs old. I have never been arrested, detained, nor held for any questioning for a crime. I don't have any DUIs. I did however receive 2 tickets for speeding, 2 tickets for red light violations, and been involved in 3 accidents since I have had my license. I can proudly say those incidents mainly happened within close proximity to one another and I have grown up much since and I have not been involved in any traffic related offense in the last 18 months and still doing well. I must also admit I have had 16 jobs since the age of 15. From which a couple I was fired, but I have been at my most recent Job for 1 yr. and prior to that I was at my job for 1 yr and left to focus on my academy. Please reply if you can help me.

My husband, daughter (Ashley - 2 1/2 years) and I have been living with my husband's grandfather for approximately 5 months now. Ever since we have lived here, he is completely obsessed with Ashley. He is forever saying "Ashley, come and sit on my lap". I'm talking 5 times a day!

When Ashley has been sitting around naked in front of her great grandfather, he would have a funny look in his eyes and would smile and stuff at her. On 1 occasion, he was sitting on the lounge & she was laying on her tummy in front of him and he kept smacking her bottom.

He is always commenting about her when she's nude etc and is always having a look. I know that if there's a naked child running around, you don't go out of your way and "look" if you know what I mean? So what's the story about the defamation? Well I told him to his face that he was a perve and is always looking at Ashley. Husband has seen him looking.

Now he says he is going to sue me for defamation cos he says I called him a pedo.

Police in New York city develop new techniques for dealing with the DUFUS DRIVER
Cloudy headlights are a national problem. People notice when you pull up with clouded headlights on your car. Your friends won`t tell you cause they need the ride. Foggy headlights makes the driver look "DUFUS". Ford denies responsibility in contributing to the problem claiming " quality is job one".
The police decided it was best to develop a tactical approach to dealing with DUFUS drivers

NOTICE HANDED OUT AT ROLL CALL
1. THE DUFUS DRIVER IS VERY EXCITABLE.
Do not confuse him by asking questions like: Do you have a drivers license? Just ask him to step out of the vehicle.

2. THE DUFUS DRIVER WILL BECOME IMMEDIATLY DISORIENTED IF YOU ASK HIM WHERE HE IS GOING.
Don't ask,... you already know he's going to jail.

Are there other things people do in their cars that should be defined as DRIVING WHILE DUFUS?

Some guy (important) a judge or an atty. just came out on the 10 o'clock news for being arrested for aggravated perjury.
Does that mean he lied under oath then beat the jury with a stick because they didn't believe him. What a strange term. What is it?

Is it just me, or does any one else notice the average cop bashing question, along with all the "is this illegal" and "I got caught, what do I do now" questions all seem to have one thing in common? Every other word is mispelled, and the grammar is terrible. Look at any of the police abuse and taser questions. Seems every person who complains about police abuse has terrible english, and the common sense responses from police and thier supporters all have proper english.

I guess the obvious conclusion is educated people are the ones who look at both sides of the issue, where the uneducated people are the ones that jump to conclusions and accuse the police of wrongdoing without having all the facts.

Kids, if you reading this, stay in school, and get an education. You will be much more likely go get a good job, and you won't have to come here for advice, because you won't get in trouble.

i live in a large metro area, and today i drive by 4 bike cops looking to give tickets on a not so busy road.

instead of sitting on their butts all day wasting our tax money writing worthless tickets, why don't they go find the criminals who have skipped bail or parole?

i mean it's not like a police officer couldn't easily be replaced by photocop. it's a good thing they're hiding waiting for someone to go 5 over the speed limit while someone is getting raped by a convict who skipped parole.

I live in a gossipy neighborhood with nothing but big-mouthed old ladies (I'm an old lady, but I'm not gossipy). I thought just to mess with their heads, I would buy a bunch of police tape - POLICE LINE - DO NOT CROSS - that yellow tape, and wrap it all over around my front yard and driveway. They'd be calling me like crazy, and I could just torment them and say "Sorry, can't talk about it." But, can I get in trouble from the police for doing this?

Today, I entered a store in SE Washington, DC to shop, I had a 4 month old in a stroller. I was immediately stopped by a tall guy, who I guess was the security guard. He said, " You have to take the baby out, and leave the stroller here". I was shocked, I'd never heard anything like that in my life. I said " I guess I can't shop here ", then security guard says, " The other guy, (who I guess works there) will watch the baby". I noticed they didn't have carts for babies, So I left after that, but decided to write the stores address down. Is this LEGAL?????? Please Tell Me.....

Why is that important? Why do all police departments stress this question when hiring police officers. I don't see why this question is important. or is it important to them? I am in the selection process to become a police officer.

What are my options. I live in N.M.
She attacked me when I was locked in my bedroom trying to avoid her, she had returned to retrive some of her belongings that I had placed outside of my house. She broke into my house, then into my room and starting hitting me. I reminded her that I had a video tape recording what she was doing. She then ripped the camera out, I tried to get it back from her, we fell to the ground, her friend came in and saw us on the ground, I let her up she went outside with the camera, I told her friend to get my camera back and that the tape was still in my possession. They called the police had me arrested, and while I was in jail they broke into my house again and stole the video tape evidence. along with 400 cash, other cameras and a lot of other mis. items. I have an attorney who says I have a good defense, but if anyone knows of some leagal or other advise, please help me out here. She has a history of doing this to others. Any help will be appreicated.

He says he loves me. But I don't belive that. My friends say I should Block him so he can't email me so I did now he can't even get to my page. My girl Kassie said he was a child Molester that only wants one thing from me. What do u think. He says am so pretty and every thing. But I kinda think am being a stupid little girl for talking to someone that age and 4 thinking he does love me. I just have never had that b4. I have never had a guy call me pretty or anything. So do u think I did the right thing by blocking him. Cuz a 27year old can't love a 16year old right? I just wanna know what u think.

I received a speeding ticket about a month ago, my first one... In fact it was the first time I have ever been pulled over for it. And I have had my license for about 4 years (I'm almost 20.) Anyways, I have tried contacting the district attorney and have tried to find a way to reduce my penalty..... A lot of people have told me about "Prayer for judgment" or "faulty equipment" test. I wanted to talk to the DA before my court date, but they won't let me and I have to come the Friday, Oct 5.
My biggest concern is my insurance. I don't want my first offense to affect my car insurance. I know I will have to pay the court costs, but is there anything I can do to get it reduced so it doesn't affect my insurance? And what do you know about the faulty equipment or prayer for judgment? Have they ever worked for anyone?
