When these all started years ago they always said it was dealers stealing from dealers....Is that still the case? Or are regular people being targeted?

my friend has not paid the fine for his ticket in Orange County, CA. He went to court and the court clerk told him they could not take his payment for being too late (2 months behind) and that he needed to see a judge. He also got a notice from the court notifiying him there was a civilp-assesment of $300 added to his initial fine of $356 and that the only way to avoid it was to pay the initial fine in full.

There is this big chain store that does Price Matches to any website, as long as it is legit. The store price was $170..I used the price match from legit website and they honored it, got it for $89 :] .. heres the thing, The same day, I felt that I didn't want the item nomore, it was still new/unused, so i went to a another one of the same store, but just diff. city. I somehow misplaced the receipt and lost it, but luckly the store still gives returns, just that it will be in store credit, witch was fine with me as I always go to this big chain store. But they gave me back $170!! I only paid $89 because of the price match from another store, guess they didn't know? The only thing is that they asked for driver license and phone number, I guess it is a routine for returns that cost a lot or returns w/o receits? So I showed ID and everything, everything seemd normal, and i got the $170.. My question is will they somehow track me down?? would they put the time into it? helpp i'm scared~

My boyfriend and I took pollygraphs and after wards the two detectives questioned us (sepratly). My boy friend said that he asked for a lawyer and the detective just kept asking questions. Why would they do that and is it legal?

Say, I'm in town A. I see a police car that says "Town B Police Department." Should I worry (about little things, like traffic violation, not a murder). My friend told me they don't have the right to pull you over but I find it hard to believe. Also, what are other things about police that many people don't know. I'm fairly knowledgeable, but I'm sure there are others who know more. Enligthen me!

What exactly is LIDAR and how does it work? Is there any special equipment that is used in this process. Is it possible that a cop can say he clocked you using LIDAR when actually he did it by visual guesstimation? If so, how can you prove this in court? Thanks.

was incacerated. He had charges from almost 7 years ago that he got probation for. These things happened in the state of Michigan. The charges sentencing total are for 7 years. In all the years he's been free he hasn't been in any trouble, but he should have rectified this issue way sooner. Do you think they will make him serve the full 7 years or just the 90 days for probation violation? It wasn't for anything violent or drugs. Thanks for your answers.

they arent scientific at all, in fact, a liar that isnt all that skilled can beat them, and as far as i know, a spy must be a very skilled liar. i know local law enforcement requires this scam for employment, but i find it hard to believe that the feds would use it to catch spies, but then...the feds did start a war in the name of national security, meanwhile both borders are scarily un secured........

My rear car window was broken after something fell from construction site scaffolding and now developer is giving me the run around claiming no legal liability.I parked my car on the street for about an hour and returned to find my car window broken. I found paint remnants and hand prints on my car from where a construction worker leaned over to remove the item that fell onto the car breaking the back window. I called the police and filled out a police report, spoke with the construction site supervisor and the officer pointed out that it was quite obvious that this was done by one of his workers based on the evidence. Unfortunately there were no witnesses of the item or items falling from the scaffolding only the guy/gal who dropped them and then tried to cover it up. The developer initially stated he would pay for the damage which amounted to 800 dollars, but now the guy is giving me a hard. Shouldn't I be able to file a complaint with the city? He's building condos.

This guy is under the impression that because he is both a property owner and licensee, he can 'get away' with assaulting people, even though in my experience, he instigates the problems, yet he always gets away with it. What is your opinion of this?
