I vaguely remember a news article but should do a google search to be sure. Just don't have the time right now sorry.

Apparently it is true,
Federal agents believe they've intercepted intelligence from the notorious Mara Salvatruchas gang who seem to be planning to assassinate federal and local police in the coming days.
See the link(s) below for the full story
Edit: Note to Eric, while it is true that these links are from articles in 2005, it shows that MS 13 designated October 30th as kill a cop day. If I plan an annual event it can start at any time.
I agree with you 100% everyday is kill a cop day and every cop needs to think this way for their own safety

It's not the first year that date has been claimed as "kill a cop day". The previous ones have been deemed as hoaxes.
The gang presumed to be sponsoring that is MS-13. The kill a cop day may be BS, but that gang is not. They are very dangerous and have a big dislike for law enforcement. If you encounter someone wearing MS-13 colors you need to watch yourself no matter what day it is.

Ummm....man, did you even see the date on that story? Its dated October 2005.
If it hasn't blown up in the last 2 years, what makes you think it'll happen this year?
As far as I'm concerned, everyday is "Kill a cop day" and I treat it as such.

Never heard that. It is Devil's Night though, which brings a lot of vandalism. It used to be really bad in Detroit, with cars being set on fire and such.

Your partner has his wires crossed it's kill a partner day especially if he is a jerk like him. He believes that oct. 30th is april fools day. My appologies I have read the article it's very intresting. But if they think that will aliviate their problems they are 100% wrong. I believe that it will be like massing with a bee hive, this is not south america or mexico they are massing with.

If you're a cop I'm a kangaroo. No self respecting police officer would proliferate this kind of crap. My bet. You're an inmate.
