The Police can forcibly take DNA samples from you in a Police stations if you're arrested for ANYTHING and it's kept EVEN if you're not charged with anything!

Now heres a secnario for you. You leave your hair brush at the Leisure centre. The person who finds it is a criminal and when he commits his next crime he leaves YOUR hair all over the scene. As you're DNA is on the database you're automatically a suspect for a crime you never committed. Get it yet?
It sounds good in principle BUT it's not immune from abuse

Is it a felony or a misdemeanor? I know there will be a warrant for your arrest; will they come to your house to pick you up, or will they wait for a random traffic stop? What kind of jail time are we looking at here--2 to 3 days? Finally, if the court is in another county, will you have to serve your time in that county, or could you serve it in your home county? If it matters, the contempt charge will be stemming from failure to appear to provide testimony in a misdemeanor battery case.

Living in Little Rock, Arkansas can be scary sometimes, as it can be anywhere. We have rapes, robberies, etc. There are places, like my grandparent's grave site, where it isn't safe to go. Gangs have made some places automatic death sites. But, we have more places where it is safe to go. It's because of our police. They keep us safe, & free to go to most of the places we want to go to. I just wish we could pay them what they are worth to us. But, if we did that, we'd have to do without so many other things, like firemen, paramedics, etc. Before someone says so, I'm not married to a cop or dating one. I'm just glad we have them. Good Luck & Blessings

If you feel that police is not really doing anything to bring your rights.

If you feel that no one is really listening

Would you go in the street carrying a sign to bring attention?

Would you think that might work?

That is really a serious question as I am thinking about doing it.

Thank you

We have lived in this Neighborhood for the past 14 years, along with 4 other surrounding Neighbors. The new, rental move on's, have lived here for about 6 months and they have called the cops on us 3 times because of our dogs barking. Now, when I mean barking. I mean anywhere from about 10min. to 40 min. They are little Pomeranian puppies just running around having fun. We are fed up with policemen coming to our door every 2 weeks, and when the cops do eventually come. They hear no dogs barking, not our dogs. Not any of their neighbors or ours. *The people on the opposite side also have about 4 dogs, who bark as well* And when the cops come, they tell us they don't hear anything and will leave a note on the report saying there was no sounds. So, what can WE do to stop this? It's really annoying and redundant to have cops coming. any suggestions?

For a person who was an accomplice to a murderer. Who never actually killed someone himself, but was present at at least two killings. He was the backup in case things got out of hand, but they never did.

Say you're pulled over because you have a head light out. The police run your license and you have a bench warrent for an unpaid speeding ticket. You're cuffed and put in the back of the police car. Your girlfried is sitting in the car when the police make her get out and start searching the vehicle. They say you gave them permission to search, you say you didn't. How do you prove a 4th amendment violation?

BTW: This happened, I'm the girlfriend. They arrested my BF and said they found drugs in the car. No permission was given for the search & there was really no probabal cause...

Someone told me that information about the car targeted is also recorded (serial number, model, etc). That would mean that vehicles are equipped with RFID cards which I think is highly unlikely ... but then again, who knows! ... My point exactly, who knows? An answer from someone in law enforcement or someone who uses this type of equipment would carry a lot of weight here!

Thanks!

A policeman pulled me over for making an illegal u-turn. I honestly didn't see the no u-turn sign. I gave the officer my license, insurance, and registration.

He obviously saw that I have a spotless driving record for over 20 years. Instead of giving me a $125 ticket for an illegal u-turn, he gave me a ticket for $7.50 and cited me for not having a registration card.

I am not complaining that he gave me such a big break. I am very grateful that he did, and this won't add any points to my license. I am wondering if what he did was legal? He knowingly gave me a ticket for no registration when I actually gave him one?

i bonded my inmate out on a bond set by probation for an fta. it seems as though he may be held even though he was bondable. Do they FORGET to vacate the bond and then hold them alot? He is awaiting sentancing on another case, and it looks as though he'll get probation again, why should he be held after i posted bond? Its their mistake, and it is put through already. Im soooo frustrated!

It was 2500 cash bond for probation and he has another case pending in which he is currently bonded(surety) and awaiting sentencing. No visible holds and clean ncic report. Its been over 24 hours and the county jail recieving dept. said they were confused by "no bond Reequired" on a few things (traffic)and they said they had no record of the on-going surety bond. But they gave me a court date for him matching the case with the missing surety bond. Probation hasnt revoked him or technically violated him for the new case, he is in jail for an fta for probation (not the new bonded case), the prob. judge was just awaiting a verdict in sentancing from current judge to decide to keep himon prob. or revoke or just violate for that matter and no legal document forfeiting his surety bond.....why are they holding him?

Today everyone was being kind of loud in the mall and I was trying to shop, so I blew my safety canned air horn. Everyone got quiet but the security guard told me if I ever did that again, he would arrest me because it was illegal. I BOUGHT THE THING IN THE MALL. How can it be illegal? Is this true?

Officer brooks has a hunch that Sam Speed is dealing drugs out of his house; therefore, Officer Brooks decided to follow Speed around to see if he can prove it. Brooks observes that over a dozen people enter Speed’s house throughout the course of the day. Each person stays in Speed’s house for approximately 5-10 minutes before leaving, Brooks observes that one person, John Jones, exits Speed’s house with a brown paper bag in his hand. Brooks approaches Jones and asks him if he can see what is in the paper bag. Jones says “No” and keeps walking. Several blocks later, Jones throws the brown bag into the trash can and runs away. Brooks’s retrieves the bag from the trash can and finds, what appears to be, a rock of cocaine in the bag.

My gf keeps arguing with me about becoming a cop. She keeps saying that I am going to change and she is never going to see me. I take a train to see her so takes about 2 hours to get to her house. I tell her that it gets tiring going to travel. She says that she is not going to see bc the academy is alot of work and its going to keep me busy. Plus she has this girl she work with where she tell my gf that her bf is a p.o. and she never see's them. So I keep hearing this all the time, does anyone who is a p.o. or know a p.o. with a gf, wife, wife a kids, have any probelms with there spouse? Also she keeps using the high divorce rate on p.o.'s agains me. I know it will make her happy if I give it up. The only think I agree with is that she will worry about my life which is normal. She thinks its a wrong career move.
