If you contest it, they set up a court date. If you don't show up, they find you guilty by default. So unless you are planning a trip back there, I don't think it is worth the trouble.

As far as not paying it, they certainly aren't going to come and get you, but you may wind up with a warrant served on you if you ever return. Again, you have to ask if it is worth the trouble.

Nothing will happen unless you go back. If you don't ever go back, what are they going to do? Extradite you around the world to pay a $75 speeding ticket? If you go there alot though, you mioght as well pay it. They may be able to hold you up customs going back in if you have a warrant.

you lose your license and will be sent to the country in question to serve out your jail sentence
