Dose any one know what the bail would be if my BF was to get procecuted since im 17 and hes 22 and the dumb law dosent allow an adult with a minor and since im pregnant . I was wondering if their was a bail amount if he was arrested for this if my parents where to press charges? has anyone been through this in the past or know where i can read some articals ? This is in California in Ventura County

If I remember California law correctly...I believe there must be a three year difference in your ages.
In California...the "Age of Consent (Majority)" is 18 however where the real problem occurs is if the minor is under 16.
California Penal Code
261.5. (a) Unlawful sexual intercourse is an act of sexual
intercourse accomplished with a person who is not the spouse of the perpetrator, if the person is a minor.
For the purposes of this section, a "minor" is a person
under the age of 18 years and an "adult" is a person
who is at least 18 years of age.
(b) Any person who engages in an act of unlawful sexual
intercourse with a minor who is not more than three years
older or three years younger than the perpetrator, is
guilty of a misdemeanor.

One thing to remember....the "age thing" isn't as "stupid" as you think. Some "minors" are unable to rationally think of the ramifications of certain actions. As such the laws concerning this issue are written for their protection!
