Sometimes. But not very often.

There are bad apples in every profession. Those who do should be fired and prosecuted.

Justin says look at Mark Furman? He was never charged with planting evidence, he lied on the stand. The lie had nothing to do with evidence. Afterwards, he lost his job with LAPD.

Is there someone you hate enough to risk your job, and life in prison, to do something illegal for? I seriously doubt it. If you wouldn't do it, why would a cop?

Years back I worked as an auto mechanic for an ex-sheriff. There were plenty of times his buddys would come around and talk "shop".

Heard plenty of stories, while one would hope officers that do are in the minority I'd have to say yes.

Of course, they are also called criminals. 1 or 2% of any group are shitheads. Any good cop knows if it is not a substantial clear cut violation thht will likely result in a conviction------ LEAVE IT ALONE !

Please understand that TV and movies are just for fun. They are not what police work is all about.

Of course...didn't you watch Saw 2? : P

No seriously I don't think it happens as much as people wanna claim, but there are dirty cops out there. Not nearly as serious - but when cops go out of their way to stop you toward the end of the month when they need to hit their quota

Usually, no. Not to say it has never happened.

There are good and bad in every profession.

There are stupid people who have contraband on them every day. Article in my local paper about people being stopped at DUI check point with loaded guns in their laps. Could they have been any dumber?

All the time, fabricated evidence is one of those unspoken rules that cops abice by. Corruption in all police departments is more prevalent now than anytime in history!~!

Yeah, just look at what Mark Furman did to OJ.

They almost nailed him too, but Johnny Cochrane was too sly.
