Police in New York city develop new techniques for dealing with the DUFUS DRIVER
Cloudy headlights are a national problem. People notice when you pull up with clouded headlights on your car. Your friends won`t tell you cause they need the ride. Foggy headlights makes the driver look "DUFUS". Ford denies responsibility in contributing to the problem claiming " quality is job one".
The police decided it was best to develop a tactical approach to dealing with DUFUS drivers

NOTICE HANDED OUT AT ROLL CALL
1. THE DUFUS DRIVER IS VERY EXCITABLE.
Do not confuse him by asking questions like: Do you have a drivers license? Just ask him to step out of the vehicle.

2. THE DUFUS DRIVER WILL BECOME IMMEDIATLY DISORIENTED IF YOU ASK HIM WHERE HE IS GOING.
Don't ask,... you already know he's going to jail.

Are there other things people do in their cars that should be defined as DRIVING WHILE DUFUS?

I hate to disagree, bahbdorje, but I actually think this is really funny. I was a LEO for 28 years and 'Driving While Dufus' is a great way of describing anyone who is ..... well.... Dufus! We used to say things like wanting to charge someone with being 'Stupid in a public place', 'Driving while an idiot', and other things that sound just as ridiculous when you say them. :-) I suppose it's putting a bit of sarcastic humour into situations that not only make you shake your head in wonder, but makes you want to pull your hair out. I retired about ten years ago with very little hair. The basic truth is never take ourselves too seriously and have a little fun in your life amidst all the craziness. Good luck to both Hisshado and Bahbdorje!

Careful Betty Boop Oop A Doo, It the ones like you who don't have the foggiest Idea of whats going on around them that they are talking about.
I'll bet a dime to a doller your headlights are clouded.

Tin foil, plastic forks, paper cups, on the front seats. Mix and match hubcaps, bald tires.
And bobble heads.......Look DUFUS to me.

Bad jokes like this lead to police misconduct. Yeah, sorry I'm not thinkings its funny.

Remember your audience is Police Officers, and many have had their sense of humour removed.

But it could be funny. Most drivers are DUFUS.

Drivers who look at the passenger while talking, and making hand gestures looks pretty DUFUS to me.
