there is no such thing as robbing a house.you can burglarize a house .robbing is done to humans,not a house.

File a complaint at the nearest police station so that investigation will be conducted to determine the culprits.

Have you considered calling the suspect? You can legally record the conversation without him knowing, it is called One Party Consent.
You could tell him you know he did it, and offer to not go to the police if he brings the stuff back. If he makes any admissions, you can give the tape to the police.
