And please don't tell me F.B.I because..... I know they get paid alot, but not everyone is as easily qualified to be a fed.

Thanks!!!

As for the rest of your questions, they consist of little more than @ss-kissing hero-worshipping rhetoric so I simply will not bother.

I teach my children that Policemen and Women protect them from harm, that they should not be afraid of Police Officers, but to understand that like me when I was in uniform, I was doing my part to protect them and our way of life.

What you call "hero-worshipping", I call "Respect". I want my children to be like me, to respect the law, but more importantly, to respect and know the courage of the men and women whom are "Peace Officers".

It was almost midnight and I was driving my dark colored buick lesabre through the mountains heading home. It was a little fogy and there was very light rain, but very dark. The road was full of turns and hills. So I was cruising along and there were a few other cars passing by every short while, a couple of which passed me (2 lane road) WELL, out of knowwhere I see a car gaining up on me REAL quick and then the blue lights came on! Cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket for going 70 in a 50! I asked to see the radar, but he refused. I told him that it wasn't me speeding and a dark car similar to mine had passed me going real fast moments earlier before he pulled me over, but he started swearing at me! I got the B.S. ticket and went home. The next day I carefully examined the ticket and he wrote a reckless driving charge! And he noted two street names, one was where he apparently caught me speeding and the other where he actually pulled me over. So, I went back on the same road and found out that the two street names were close to 2 miles apart!!! Yet the road I was on was full of large wide turns and hills and you couldn’t see more than ¼ ahead because of a large turn or hill that lasted another ¼ mile! So the cop DID lose sight of the car he intended to pull over WAY before 2 miles! He pretty much guessed it was me, that was it!!! I told the cop when he pulled me over that it wasn’t me but he said “I don’t care!”
And then he filled the ticket out wrong and put down that I can just pay the ticket over the phone, but when I called in to see how much it was, the office lady told me that a reckless driving ticket cannot be paid over the phone and you must show up in court!
I got a lawyer and went to court and got the ticket reduced to just a plain old expensive speeding ticket. I spent $1,000 for lawyer fees and the ticket in all for NOTHING! To this day, I still feel that I should have gotten out of it completely, but they just believe the cops. I need to ask this question and get it off my shoulders! What do you think about this? Thanks!

Whether you are involved with the Law Enforcement or not I would like to know what police dramas you like. Especially if you were or are a cop I would appreciate your answer because I like to know what police shows the police enjoy.

Well here's mine:

Favorite Police Shows Not On The Air Anymore: NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues

Favorite Police Shows Still On The Air: The Shield, The Wire

In Louisiana this is actually an offense! Yeah we all know seatbelts save lives but if people choose not to wear one its their own choice. They are not endangering anyone else. I think the government just uses it to get more money while saying "we are just saving lives". Most people do wear them but if you don't want to you should not be forced to wear one.

A couple of years ago, I used one of those title-pawn dealers to get some extra cash when I was in a crunch. Eventually I had to file for bankruptcy, but that fell through. Now it is time to renew my tag and I'm afraid that when I show up to renew it that the title-pawn people will have reported my car as stolen since I never paid them back in full. This all happened in GA, and I am on assignment out of state. GA is still my state of residence, though. I did do a Carfax and another carcheck service, and neither one showed that my car had been reported as stolen, but I know they are not 100% reliable.

I was in a residential area and I stopped at a stop sign. I then proceeded to turn right. The cop came up behind me and I pulled over. I asked him what I did and he said "I didn't stop good enough". Pretty much I didn't stay stopped long enough according to his standards. In the law, it doesn't say how long I have to COUNT after I stop. Is this legal? Can I fight this in court?

Vincent Foster had precisely 6 months to do the paperwork putting Clinton assets into a trust as required by law. Also the head of FBI was quickly fired or "resigned" just 3-4 days before the Foster suicide? An eye witness that saw NO gun in Foster's dead fingers which left no prints and NO prints were on the revolver's bullets either? Said witness was tormented by numerous FBI agents until he sued ALL of them? Said witness' report was altered AFTER he signed it?
Paramedics noted a small gunshot wound to Foster's neck in their reports but medical examiner noted only the shot from gun found later in Foster's hand? Witnesses noted that,"Foster's body appeared "laid out" with head uphill and gun in hand quite unlike typical suicides?

All right, in my latest battle with my ex wife, she has filed even more charges against me. The local police department called me and had me come to the police department to answer questions. To take care of this I had to drive downtown and answered the questions. When I got in my car, they were watching me and pulled me over for not having my license. My question is ==Is this entrapment? they had no reason to pull me over, they just did it and then wrote me out a ticket.

I got a speeding ticket saying I was doing 41 in a 25. I went back and checked every speed limit sign and every one says 35. 4 mph over is a big difference between 16 mph over. What should I do? Could the ticket get thrown out?

I work nights so about 2a.m. I take my dog( AmStaff) for a walk in the park. I have for years.
This morning we were confronted by a German Shepard that growled at me or us for that matter.
We tried to avoid him,but he attempted to corner us and my dog became protective, grabbed him by the neck, shook him like a dog toy and pinned him.
Next thing I know there is a Police officer, gun drawn threatening to shoot my dog.
It turns out the shepard was a K-9 officer sent into the park to search for a burglary suspect.
I spent the night in jail, my dog is still at Animal Controll and we are being charged with assaulting the K-9 officer who agressed on us.
And YES! Pluto was on a leash the whole time.

Will the charges stick?

I just moved to Missouri and live alone. I heard about a law dealing with someone breaking into your home. The person told me that if I was alone and someone broke into my house and threatened to kill/harm me that if there was an escape path (like a window or a door that I could get to) that was the first choice to take before trying to kill the person that broke in. I guess if I shot at the person that broke in and killed that person I could get sued by that persons family. And if I only injured the person that broke in, that person could sue me. How is this fair, if that person was the one that broke into my home and threatened me? What is the chance that I would be able to open the window and jump out before the person either shot me or stopped me? Maybe this is completely wrong, but I am not sure where to check this at. Please any information will be appreciated!

Up until recently, I was not intimidated by others - always spoke my mind in any situation. This rarely led to confrontation, as my size and "presence" (as I've been told many times) discouraged that. As I get older, I'm finding it less desirable to be so bold, BUT - I still FEEL anger and/or frustration when in certain situations! How should I handle this? I will be posting several questions about different situations - HELP! - PLEASE, I really need to hear your knowledgeble suggestions!

WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THIS SITUATION:

At a crowded small park with several young kids. Guy and gal (both about 25 years old) enter park, and immediately release their large very hyper dog - - LEASH LAW (law, not rule) clearly posted nearby - NO dog is allowed in park unless leashed. I feel angry, uncomfortable for the kids safety, disrespected, and embarrassed as a law abiding adult seeing other adults directly breaking the law in front of my kids.
