yes, there are plenty of us who do. I am 28 and still do. Just because I became police doesn't mean I'm gonna stop listening to rap. But, my taste has changed and I really don't like half the stuff thats released these days. I tend to stay towards the rappers i grew up on... Nas, Pac, Face etc.

Im an officer and Im 24. I listen to some rap but only the stuff that actually has a message or just has a good sound. I dont listen to stuff that curses every other word and talks about killing and things of that nature. Why?

It depends. When you are a police officer, you are always wearing a badge, even when you are out of uniform. Personally - I'd never let someone I work with hear me listening to anything that I thought they might find offensive, because it would tarnish my reputation. There are people out there who think it's okay to live two lives and play at being thug, but I'm not sure I like that kind of officer. There's a lot of responsibility here, and you really cannot afford to compromise your integrity that way.
Bottom line: Not if you are serious about being a role model and public servant.

Hellz ya dog... I love to roll through the "government housing" and jam to Ridin' Dirty. Nothing puts a smile on my face like a group of people that I have hooked up before wondering what is going on... On the rizzle I do just love any hippity hop that talks about drinkin' a forty, smokin' a blunt, or smokin' a cop. Of course the gang members in my town of 80,000 don't get their props until they try the last one. I have an Ar-15 that says they won't...

what on earth are you talking about? police are people- HELLO? who are you? police, just like any other people those ages listen to rap, country, heavy metal, hip hop. They're just normal people when they're in their underwear!
