I was pulled over and arrested for "drinking while driving" because I had half a wine cooler that was open in my car. I had zero BAC. I live in Connecticut, and I am wondering what kind of penalties this holds, loss of licence, etc. Can you use an AR if it is a first time offense? I am of legal drinking age. Should I get a lawyer?

I live in Texas and was wondering if you could get arrested for going over a certain speed? Because I do a lot of traveling from city to city and I don't want to spent an extra hour in a car when I could be there in a hour less... Thanks

For the extreme crimes commited by serial killers, they should be beheaded, but in a most humane and 21st century-style, by an electronic robotic machine that will swiftly carry out beheadings, so that the person being neheaded won't feel that much pain.

It's a humane way to punish extreme killers and would be effective in maintaining law and order, and protecting society from the very worst of killers.

So what do you think?

Is there a law that says something like " If you go over 100 mph, and you get caught then you will automatically get arrested?"

By just running your plates is an officer able to tell that you haven't registered your car? Or if you get pulled over and he sees your paperwork you're busted? I mean, if you have current tags, however the car is not currently registered (as in you just got a current year sticker from someone off the street), what's the consequence if a cop runs your plates??

I read so much bad stuff about Salinas Valley S Prison. Anyone with sons ,fathers, husbands, nephews, grandfathers, grandsons, cousins or uncles please give me some feedback on conditions. Maybe we can get together and make a loud cry and be heard for changes.

If I called 911 and then just stayed on the line without saying anything, would they come? Or would they assume it was a prank/accidental call and ignore it?

I've always been curious about that because sometimes if I'm home alone, I get paranoid about what would happen if someone broke in or something. In which case, I probably couldn't talk to the 911 dispatcher or they would hear me talking and find me (if I was trying to hide or something).

Luckily, no one has ever broken in or anything (knock on wood) but it doesn't mean that it couldn't happen... I just want to know, *just in case*...

And also, how long would it take to track down your address by GPS if you're calling from a cell phone? I don't have a house phone in my room and I use my cell for everything. I called 911 on my cell once for a car accident outside my house and they had to ask me my address, the intersection, the township, etc and it took over 10 mins for someone to get there... (Luckily no one was hurt though).

A very close friend of mine was going 81 mph in a 45 zone.
He was told the maximum sentence included 6-12 months in prison! The officer really has a thing against him, so what is the Most they can charge him with?? oh, he also has quite a few smaller speeding tickets from before.

Can he seriously go to jail over this?

they placed my toliet paper across from my cell to taunt me, where was the press and M.D.'s to monitor my mental status? Oh I was in the mental part of the jail alright. That just ment they didn't give me a mattress, and didn't allow me to wear anything but a canvas outfit, no underwear.

I think Miss Hilton should be put in a small dark room, and given a bucket. Thoughts?

Is it right that in the 21st Century that people in jail can be treated so badly - chain gangs, made to wear pink, fed bad food, put in tents. And that's in America.

I've been in jail twice once for 30 days and once for 6 months and lucky it wasn't like that although it was bad enough. People can be jail for minor stuff like DUI or theft or drugs charges and it doesn't seem right to me that you should be treated as badly.

Last night was the last time I'm letting him get away with it. What will the police do? I only have one fist sized bruise from where he punched me. Otherwise, I'm fine. He was picking me up and throwing me into the walls as well as punching but all I have is the one bruise. The other blows didn't leave marks. Hes hurt me worse but I never told anyone about it. Will the police even do anything? What will happen to him if they do? What will the police have me do?

he has been arrested before for beating me and for unlawful restraint. That wasn't my doing though, someone who was driving by saw what he was doing and called the police. Also, what is the best way to approach the police about this? Should I call them or go to the station? Will they make me strip and take pictures of all the marks...?

I was recently pulled over by a state police in what looks like his personal car with flashers in the grill. (A Mercedes Benz SUV) Anyway he seemed a little pissed off that I did not pull over right away because I was trying to verify with 911 if it was a real police officer. When he pulled me over he had a local on duty state trooper stop by. The trooper then gave him a ticket book and he wrote me three tickets. If anyone could help me out with some answers here I would appreciate it. Also if you can refer any lawyers in the Middlesex county area that can actually win this case I would appreciate it. (I'm not looking for a plea bargain lawyer I would rather fight it unless I am absolutley wrong.

When presented a clear cut case of fraud, agency investigator looks instead for the way out of prosecuting. Looking the other way when he stated the was no doubt that the person's testimony was a lie, but couldn't do ANYTHING about it? This type of dismissal exposes a great many other consumers to an unlicensed crook. All this is contrary to the aggressive round up of unlicensed contractors, using ficticious names and other people's licenses? When will a gov't agency get a spine? How do lazy bureaucrats live with themselves?
