My friend got an MIP almost a year ago was charged with and convicted he had to serve community service and pay fines. He got a dwi a few months ago and broke probation. He hasn't been charged yet with his dwi but he got his liscense suspended. He just now got another dwi and i assume will be charged and convicted for breaking probation again. I just want to know the consequences and if he's going to have to serve jail time. I know it's a Class A misdemeanor and i just would like to know what's going to happen. I live in Rolla, MO. He's 18 and i really want the best help for him and i want him to know all of his options. I was also wondering if there is any way he can skip jail time and just pay fines and do community service? Answers will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 2006 Sony desktop that I bought from Circuit City. My ex has it at his house. Now, If I get something from Circuit City stating that I bought the computer under my name can I go to the local police department and ask them to help me remove it from his possession? IT was paid in full at the time i bought it. OR would this be something I would take him to court over?

Thanks!

I have tried to find the answer to this online. I can't find out if we can go to Fetlas Trading Post or Gander Mountain to purchase a gun or ammo if we reside in IL. Hubby has a FOID card for IL.

Alright well my boyfriend crashed the front of his truck into a tree last week because he slid on ice. He got a ticket from the Cops that day because he was "not handeling the car right" (because his car slid on ice and hit the tree). He is going to Court and pleading not guily with reason. He has a Bussiness (which is his lawn company). Do you think the judge will give him a check for a new truck just because he owns a bussiness? How long do you think the judge will take away his licence for? Just courious, Thanks.

I want to state my true claim that the unmarked vehicle was tailing me, while i was driving i felt a bump in the road and i looked in my mirror and this guys tailing me and i was scared so i went faster, then i slow down in preparation for if he hits me again just incase he did the first time, and then i change the lane and thats when he pulls me over. Do you think i can win the case? 85 mph in 55 mph zone, and it was an unmarked looking like civilian vehicle. I need some tips on winning the case. I do have multiple speeding tickets on my record none are this fast though

A few weeks back, while under the influence of a mixture of things, I was passed out and approached by a law offical, when I awoke, I didn't know what was going on or who awoke me, but I got scared and starting running. Of course I was caught and handcuffed. It is OK to say, "Prob deserved it" I know my faults and go to rehab this week. Anyway, the officer took me to the hospital where I was in these cuffs for a good 4 hours, no word a lie. I asked the officer if he could please loosen the cuffs because they were hurting, mind you, I wasn't combative, in anyway, just scared as heck. The cop took a little bit of presure off the one cuff, but did nothing to the other. The next day, my one thumb felt like it was dead, no feeling in it at all. I figured it was just from the cuffs, weeks have passed and the thumb still feels like it is dead. I just want to know if this would be considered excessive force if there is dmg to my thumb when I asked for the tension to be relieved.

I have had them do it to me & have seen them right on someone's bumper like they are trying to make them screw up to pull them over. I belive there is a law that states you must be 1 or 2 car lengths apart from another vehicle.

We've got stopped for a taillight being out and then he said our load was over weight, they write us up for speeding 45 in a 25MPH. Which wasn't true for we had just made a left hand turn, going uphill and in a 1 ton Dually with a 1/2 a load of metal for scrap. It is impossible to go 45 after you straighten this vehicle out from the turn. It ended up us having to go to court with proof we were not overweight (picture of the load proved that as well as weigh in sheet.) Proof that all lights worked-signed papers from 4 witnesses. Plus we had to take time off work and waste courts time. If they stop you for something that reason should be on the ticket. I wonder how many others are stopped for some reason that isn't true? It's like they go through a list until they find one you can't fight on the spot. Thanks to all the people who had picture taking ability on your phones. Pictures tell a story.
Cops should quit stopping people that have no legitimate reason to be stopped.

My friend was rape.d and her b/f and I have talked with her about turning the two guys in. She says that she won't do anything b/c she gave up fighting back when she knew it was hopeless and in the eyes of the law, that makes it legal.
Is she right??
The second reason why not is b/c the two guys were old friends of hers. She tried to fight back but ended up with a broken wrist and broken ribs.
If she was to report it what would it be considered?? Gang rap. or date rap.??

so let me explain what led to all of this. My husband's ex didn't file their taxes from 10 years ago. $40,000 owed and IRS telling me it's all my resposibility which obviously upset me. Husband and I started arguing that morning and he said he wasn't going to the tax attorney to discuss his problem so I threw brush on bed he said it bounced and hit him and he threw it back hitting my leg. I told him to get out and he called me every name in the book and without thinking I slapped him and he called 911 and hung up they called back I was mad and said come on over. cop arrived, never asked to see my leg where brush hit, but hauled me off to jail in front of my 3 kids telling me it was all my fault. Now can't afford laywer, but make too much for court appointed. No previous record at all. Have letter from Dr. stating that I was temp off prozac because new insurance not kicking in until Jan. Husband admitting he called me some bad names and he started it. Any advice?
