If you are already on probation for the DUI, and then charged with a meth charge, This will revoke your probation for the DUI and you will have to do the original sentence and then you will have to deal with the meth poss., charge. Good Luck.

As a law enforcement officer, I see this question often!

Your BEST bet is to obtain the services of either a paid attorney of your choice or a court appointed attorney.

A first DUI issue is not that difficult to deal with, however, the possession of methamphetamine is a felony offense of which there COULD be serious consequences.

A felony conviction normally has a minimum of 1 year and a day or over jail sentence plus court costs and fines.

A first conviction may warrant just probation, drug rehabilitation, court costs and fines!

None the less...your biggest problem is associated with the meth use! You need serious help and should get it!

Best wishes!

The fist thing you need to do is take a long hard look in the mirror and fix the direction the person you see is going.

A good lawyer may be able to get you off - this time. What about next time? (And unless you commit to a drastic change in your life - there _will_ be a next time.)
