I had some credit card and auto debt from 2001 that I have never paid off (and I don't plan to). I have stopped getting calls and notices in the mail about these debts.

1. Can they still come after me for the balances? If yes, how much time do they have left to collect?

2. When can my credit be restored, or at least used again?

They do out of jail, just always wondered if they did in jail. Its not exactly special treatment for say. It just making them equal to non-disabled people I think would be better said.

I'm a pre-op transsexual, but my license says female. I've been living as a female for almost 11 years. I went fulltime when i was 14 and when i was 16 went for my permit and they put female on it. I was born in indiana and they don't have sex on the birth certificate. So i've been with my boyfriend for 2 years. He wants to go to vegas and get married. Technically i could because all vegas needs is a valid ID . and mine says female. I love my boyfriend more than you could know and i want to marry him. but my question is should i risk it ? legally it is fraud .i might be fine. it's not like they are going to look under my dress. but fraud is a federal offence i could go to prison. But david's the one for me and i want to get married , what should i do ?

My GF is 20 Years old and was pulled over for a traffic violation. My GF did not have her drivers license or learner's permit. The court date is scheduled for tommorow but she has now obtained a drivers license, so when she goes to court she will have it. I am aware that "Driving With No License" is a jailable offense in the state of Virginia. The officer did not arrest her just gave her a summons to appear in court. My GF has never been in trouble with the law and has no other traffic infractions. What are the chances that she will be sent to jail? My GF told the officer that she needed to get to work and that the owner of the car was sick. I am hoping that they will see that she now has her licence and will just give her a fine. I was hopeing that she can cry the "I am a single parent and I was just trying to get to work" story and they will let her off. What are the chances that she will be sent to jail?

Or go after somebody for which no evidence exists for that matter? Obviously, in some states the people can vote them out of office, but what about statutes, do they restrict prosecutoral behavior at all?

I am medically retiring from the Air Force and am forced to change careers at age 32. Rather than going back to college and starting from scratch, I was hoping there was something else out there that I can use my experience and training for. I have a family to support and the menial amount of retirement pay isn't going to cut it.

Just less than 2 yrs ago, I was in a wreck in Texas. My truck had no damages and I was not hurt. The other vehicle was from Louisiana. She & her son was not hurt. No police report was made nor did they go to the hospital. My insurance paid for her vehicle damages/rental of car. Today, I received a letter stating she is suing for mental anguish, pain, loss of wages, etc. Also for the child's pain. Can she do this? Do I need a lawyer? Help

I jus got a speeding ticket in Michigan by the state police (doing 84 on a 70 highway) and i'm from Ontario, Canada! My question is for anyone who have been in this situation. What do i have to do, what are my options, is there a good way to fight it, should i fight it, can i get away with jus ignoring it or should i just pay it and take my beating????

I did my own research online and concluded that i'm f***ed for insurance and the fine. NOT MY DAY!!!

Just want to hear your opinion and your situations (tell me in detail if u can) and if your canadian and got a speeding ticket in the US.

p.s. In canada the speed limit is 100 km/h but the police let u do about 115-118 km/h before you get a ticket. So i was thinking it would be ok if i went 10 above 70 mph.
