A plea of No Contest simply means that you are not going try to defend yourself. However, it has the same impact as a guilty plea. You are exposed to the same punishments that a finding of guilty would have.
Entering such a plea and then running around town bad mouthing the officers could result in you being sued for slander.

I learned this word a couple years ago, no contest. No contest means you are guilty. No matter what happened no matter what people tell you. This is the way the courts see it so be real careful about pleading this.
I was told if I pleaded no contest that the court case I was in over disciplining my kid (he ran to the cops, and is also in jail himself for taking on a cop. Just being out of control!) would be over if I pleaded no contest.
I did not realize my attorney was retiring and was trying to close all court cases until it was to late.

If you did not do it (anything wrong) do not plea no contest!!

If you go to court and you plead no contest you are just the same as saying you are guilty. And about the police officers. get an attorney out of the county you live in. If you use the ones in your county it will be harder too get one to take your case Take them to court. This will be better than pleading guilty for something you are not guilty of and having it on your record!

well, what really happened? if the police are really corrupt, a lawyer and the judge or jury would agree with you. dont plead no contest (for whatever) if you didnt do the crime. if you do, you give up your rights to an appeal. (in general)

Pleading No Contest is saying yes, you are guilty. I'd get an attorney and contest the charges. I do not want whatever the crime was on my record.

A plea of no contest is the same as a guilty plea but you are asking for the courts mercy.

police are liars. whats worse is they will go under oath and perjure themselves and police will back them up. i dont think you will get in trouble for pleading no contest. your not pleading guilty its just corrupt police planted enough evidence to support their story.. be careful what you say about the police they can make your life aliving hell.. goodluck..

all depends on the circumstances. Haven't you ever heard the saying; you can't fight city hall? Well, it is usually true, unless you have proof on film. Then I would get outta the state, before the police finds a reason to kill you.

If your intention is to make a formal complaint against the police, then you cannot make one if you plea.

Also, it discredits your claim.
