Here is the story. About a year or so ago, I had a photographer take some photos of me. At the time, I was a minor. Anyway, he told me that he would retain the copyright on my photos. My mom and I didn't sign anything. So after he took the photos, I found out he was a pervert. He takes erotic photos of women, and my photos are amongst those photos. He didn't take any nude photos of me, but he made my breasts look bigger with a photo editor.I don't want my images around those images. About 6 months ago, I requested that he not use my photos, and he said no problem. But today, I check on his site and a photo of mine is on there. Do I have any legal grounds to bring a suit? Or is there anything I can do to get him to remove my photos once and for all? Thanks for your answers.

history of drugs. We can smell a horrible ordor kind of like a septic system or sewage. It happens only late at night. My question, can it cause damage for us to breath it. And also if their house blows up, will it effect us. We are about 200 yards from them. I will not turn them for fear they will know it was us and cause us harm. Please help. I am very concerned about our safety.

As a registered sex offender, I'm not against sex offender registration. 3-13% of offenders will re-offend, which deems him/her quite a bit more likely than a layperson, but I question some of the new legislation.

1. Registered sex offenders not being allowed to live within a half-mile of a school regardless of how populous the area.
2. Registered sex offenders registering their email address and having to report their Myspace profiles?
3. Putting signs in an offender's yard?

IF A SEX OFFENDER OVERCOMES INTERNAL BARRIERS AND DECIDES TO RE-OFFEND, OVERCOMING EXTERNAL BARRIERS IS THE EASY PART. Does making constitutionally questionable laws ex-post facto really work?

Note: All I'm asking for is opinions on the law's effectiveness in preventing future sex crimes. I am not asking for opinions on what you feel sex offenders deserve, how you think they should all die or be castrated. Thank you.

I don't think anyone will really care, but it seems that when an officer acts unprofessionally, they should be held accountable for such wreckless behavior.

I feel like I just want to put up posters cursing his name on lamp posts. But is that legal?

Thanks for any advice or words or wisdom.

Is it possible to have a court issue a cease-and-desist order against a company that will not stop sending me unwanted mail? Can unwanted mail be harassment? I have sent multiple requests to the company, but they do not even reply. I think that a court order would really make a point.
If so, to which court would I have to go, and how complex is the process (in Indiana)?

In december my sister attacked her husband, at his family's house, in front of many witnesses, and left permanent teeth marks in his arms. I however was not there.

My sister needs help, but refuses to get it, and i worry about her abusive nature finding its way to her children. this is not the first time she has attacked someone.

Her husband doesn't want to press charges as he doesn't want to upset her.

My understanding of the law is that crimes are commited against SOCIETY, not individual victims. So can I call the police or the DA or somthing and have charges presses even though I have no involvment in this whatsoever?

Then hopefully she might get sent to anger management counceling?

I am friends with some seniors in high school, and I know they drink at parties (I'm 14). I hang out with them a lot, and they're inviting me to a party this weekend (I can't go b/c of prior commitments). If I DID go and the police came, would anything happen to me if I had not been drinking? If I was drinking? Once again, this is theoretical (not that I would go to a drinking party anyway).

My sister was having a party...I was upstairs and when I came downstairs I noticed there were too many people here so I started kicking people out. I tried kicking this one kid out and he told me "No one here can make me leave this house". After my friends noticed he wouldn't leave they started asking him also since they're bigger than me. They were escorting him out of the house when the kid swung at my friend. And as soon as he did that my friends brother came in and they started fighting. My friends brother punched him and my other two friends punched him too. There are many whitnesses who saw him attack first and resist leaving. The kid needed 12 stitches. The kid is now sueing for assult. What do you think will happen to my friends.
