I would have thought it was, but so many people do it..if it is illegal, can't they be stopped! It aggitates me, because so many people are believers!!

umm...yes I have heard of identity theft...but if you look on websites ~myspace~ ~bebo~ you'll see that there are many people who are Miley Cyrus..i think thats her name...and if you look on her site, it says she doesnt have a site...so why hasn't she, or any other celeb done anything? don't be rude...

yah i know what u mean...I mean, on bebo everybody is fakin (celebs) and it gets on my nerves!! but the best you can do is try to convince the people not to believe the 'celebs' and to ignore them...yeah i've been wondering why the real celebs, or for that matter why nobody has tried to do anything about it...i would sue em..ha!

Yes it is illegal to pose as anyone else period! You also can do something to stop it by reporting it.And as for people believing it there is nothing you can do to save the naive!
