The only people he killed were rapists and child molesters.....?
I know he would be a bad person for killing but wouldn't be ok on a different level?

if it were okay then i would suggest our government create jobs for people to do just this....otherwise your answer could be found in the fact that you would be found guilty of any charge for murder
...i dont know that i would consider them bad so much as a bad person so much as disturbed....just becuase you can differentiate who you kill does not make it right according to law...if it were then we would have people out there avenging not just murders but all wrongdoings...i do see your point though...its just that with americans if you give a yard they take a mile

but
Killing is killing.
Also I wouldn't necessarily classify the killer as a serial killer, I'd put it more along the lines of vigilante.

Our criminal laws are based upon the "due process" of which we are ALL entitled to!
A speedy and fair trial to those accused of violating the laws IS the law!
As sick as child molesters and rapists are...they have those entitlements!

A prosecutor friend of mine, in closing argument in a murder trial where the victim was a notorious drug dealer said this
"What is a man who kills a bad man? Another bad man"
I think that sums it up quite nicely.

Killing is bad no matter what. If you have a gut to kill a child molester, you have the gut to kill any person, I don't want anyone who has the ability to kill anyone I don't care who to be in the streets. Anyone who can kill ought to turn himself in to the authorities and get help.

A serialkiller who kills people has the same exact sisckness as the molesters and rapist. I don't really know if your angry or what but they all manage to be dead already.

All life is sacred... even that of a rapist or child molestor. Do I think they should see the light of day again, or can be rehabilitated, no. But they don't deserve to die.

the people they would be killing have already served their punishment based on a group of their peers. any other punishment is unjust and unlawful, even though it may be warranted.
