hey! to the IDIOT who told me to pay it and quit complaining--what part of "the ticket was not my fault" and I WILL fight it DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND!

I have more than enough proof that I didn't deserve the ticket

I have more than enough proof that I didn't deserve the tickeT apart from the cop not signing it.

First and foremost, I'm sure the officer signed the original which is what counts!

You don't indicate what the ticket was for and under what circumstances you feel you can "beat" the ticket.

You DO have the option of fighting a ticket in traffic court but be sure you have ALL your facts and documents to support your case before going to court.

Best wishes!

The ticket is valid. It doesn't matter that your copy isn't signed as long as the other information is correct. A ticket (also know in some jurisdiction as a traffic summons) is just a summons, meaning if you don't pay the forfeiture you have to appear in court. If for some reason, the ticket is fatally flawed, then the Officer can reissue another ticket and revoke the original ticket to correct the mistake.

Is it a cost ticket, or a written warning? We used to furnish written warning cites to drivers under the age of 18 for all time. It grew to become into used to tell the determine the driving force had violated the motor vehicle code, even nevertheless it grew to become right into a minor offense, or we knew it grew to become right into a solid infant who only made a mistake or..... in spite of. The warning grew to become into saved in-abode on the dispatch laptop so in case you stopped somebody who had a warning, nicely this time you got a cost ticket. Now if its a cost ticket, sure you do have grounds for a dismissal in courtroom. "decide, thats not me, learn the signatures!" however the value ticket remains entered into the gadget as in case you signed it, the courtroom nonetheless has the courtroom date set up for you and you will might desire to look. earlier courtroom rulings have forgiven officers for errors on the tickets.

I pulled that one once. ticket wasn't signed. Didn't get thrown out because the cop showed actually showed up to court that day. But, if the cop doesn't show up to tell what happened which in most cases they don't then it'll get tossed.

Yes this does indeed work to your benefit because the officer can not testify against you. Do not bring up the matter of what happened because you probably don't know the fine matter of the law whether you are right or wrong just bring up the fact that it was not signed so it is not valid.

nope..the court wants your money..its not a contract..the officer not signing is no big deal..you might press the issue showing that he was not paying attention and what else did he miss..just fight it and you might get it reduced or get lucky..
