My friend is a police officer in a small town called Rocksprings Tx. In 2005 he tried to pull over a suspicious vehicle. It stopped and when he got out of his patrol car, it tried to run him over. He then shot at the tires blowing one of them which caused the vehicle to wreck. There were 7 illegal aliens in the van, non which were seriously hurt. 9 months later, he was arrested by federal marshalls and charged with a felony assualt charge and faces up to 20 years in jail. By the way, the wetbacks were freed and given green cards. What is wrong with this picture.

i was taser by the police in the back of my neck after he said that i was free to go. then wrestle me to the ground and charge me with public intoxication. i didn,t put any resistance towards the officer. i had two beers and was headed home for the nite when he stop me and ran a check on me nothing came back, that when he told me to leave and the next thing i was hit with the taser gun . i had to go to the hospital to get the probe remove from my neck. my neck is still sore after 5 days. i believe that was excessive force and it was no call for that kind of action from the officer espically in back. i didn,t give reason for his action.

I just cancelled the insurance on my car because it was to be sold and I made a foolish desion to just move the car to another parking spot at my apartment lot to were someone could see the sign. A woman and I smacked into eachother in the parking lot and did some damage to my car. I told her that I didn't have insurance and if she had damage that I would give her my info and pay for the damage myself because we were basically neighbors. I got out and we both looked at her car and there was nothing wrong with hers. I asked her if she wanted to call the police and make a report and she said no. So 3 days later I had a letter from the police asking to please call them back so they could get my info for the police report. Has this ever happened to anyone before?? Please be nice, I take part of the blame for not being insured but she's the one who pulled out infront of me. Thanks in advance!!

the authorities lure people online into chatting with younge girls for sexual gratification, invite them to a house just for that with an under age girl. when the people show up they are charged by the authorities. why doesn,t our law inforcement do it with selling of illegal arms, or selling of illegal drugs,or selling of anything illegal. i think they should, maybe we would have less kids killed in schools, by firearms or drugs

I am interviewing in the morning for a position as a police officer - I don't want to appear to "girly" by wearing my hair down and I know that as an officer I will be wearing my hair in a pony tail - so should I wear it in a pony tail? I also don't want to appear to casual. (by the way - my hair is medium length right past my shoulders)

i was just outside of my home with my girlfriend. my ex showed up out of nowhere and i recognized her as she was running towards us yelling and screaming"***&*#@". i decided to go inside with my girlfriend asap!!! in doing so my ex pulled up to the door and demanded that my girlfriend come out... that she was going to "cut her head off". i warned her to leave the property and she refused and was attempting to come in when i saw that my riffle was out in the living room where i had been showing it to a friend earlier that day. i waved it from inside my house to scare her away and it worked, appearently too well!!! i had called the police to come and help diffuse the situation but to my surprise as they arrived they intervied her and then me. in no time i suspected there was something wrong. She was laughing with the cop! the cop soon concluded that she felt threatend and that i be charged with "assault with a deadly weapon!" i was the one who called in the first place! advice???

My mother was murdered 23 years ago this February. My parents were divorced and my dad was already remarried and living in another state. I was 4 at the time. The police know who murdered her cause he did it at her work with witnesses but he fled and they "never" found him. When she died I went to live with my dad and my 1/2 brother went to live with his.......our dads never kept us in contact and I never knew my brother or my mothers family until I got married and was old enough to find them myself, with no help of my dad or step-mom. Anyway, when I called the police station all they said was that they were not actively looking for him. Well I am 27 now and it has really impacted my ife and I need closure and I can't have it not knowing what happened to that man.......how can i go about getting the police to reopen her case and actively look for my mothers killer?

Surely some of you seen the video of police kicking a mental man while he was down, broke his ribs, punctured his lung, etc. The police always get away with it, even though it was on film.
I am a victim of police brutality, how can I possibly win if they get away with murder?
There is no "Innocent until proven guilty!" The police think they're the judge and jury. This is just wrong! Has anyone else here in the US been a victim of this crime too?

in my job I have access to customer information as in phone #, address, DOB, DL # etc. My friends are police and they will ask me for info to aid in catching these crooks. I dont get anything, not money or favors, just the satisfaction of knowing a dirtbag is off of the street. these are not common people these are murders, robbers, gang bangers, theives and other dirt bags...

what do you think of this? I could get fired for doing this, but I have a family and want to make the world( at least my town) a safer place. If I turn a blind Eye I or anyone could be the next victim.
The info I have supplied has been the break in some very major cases.

i posted this in the answers civic arena and most of the answers were negative. what do you think??

I was asked to attend an interview at a police station for something I had allegedly done. No charges were ever brought and the case went no further. How would I know if I had received a formal caution or not? Do you get a letter from the police or solicitor saying you have been cautioned? Just curious if I ever get asked for a crb check.

I've just been reading about a famous English Detective called Sherlock Holmes. The man was a real genius. He solved so many crimes during his time.

Does he have any living relatives ?

I heard that you could do this if you are robbed at gunpoint, just type it in backwards, you still get the money but it tells the police where you are.

I recently got a speeding ticket in Knoxville, TN in a construction zone. The officer checked the workers present box, but there were none anywhere, I took pictures right after. I'm not sure the amount yet but if it's outrageous, which it probably will be, I want to challenge it. Does anybody know what my chances with this are, and if I can do any of this through the mail in TN? I live in Atlanta so it's not a convenient trip.
