The facters here are a range of about a 1/4 mile.
The cop was about 100 feet above me. Traveling 60+MPH the opposite direction.

Traffic conditions were light.

My brother has been having trouble keeping up with his car payment and he put me down as a reference. Well last night at around 11:30PM a guy came and pretended that he was a detective and that he needed to ask about the identity theft of my brother. I believed him because my bro recently lost his wallet. I didn't even asked for any ID...(i know I should've). He had on basketball shorts, nikes, and a windbreaker that had "FRAUD INVESTIGATION DEPT" on it. So I called my bro and the guy asked him a bunch of questions about where he works, etc....Later that night my bro was coming home and the guy was waiting for him and asked him about the car he owed money on which wasn't with my bro at the time... Now this morning my brother called me and told me the guy was following him... What do you guys think? Is he allowed by law to pose as a police officer? BTW I live in CA.

are you sitting comfortably.. then i will begin.
the wife and i split 7 months ago, I moved out of my house leaving her and my 2 children there,
she worked at my tattoo shop as a piercer and i allowed her to come and get ALL her stuff from the shop. she went back to work in her mums shop as a piercer and employed a tattooist to try to rival me..LOL. he is rubbish, that i do not mind.
the thing is. i cannot see my children, she will not allow it. her family have issued death threats, which were recorded on my CCTV and given to the police. my dad 3 weeks ago payed for me to fly to australia to see my uncle before he dies and whilst there she broke in to my shop and emptied it. she signed a statement that she has nothing to do with the business 6 months ago, yet the police helped her break in to MY shop "im a sole trader" and take my all "even my accounts and appointments book" the police have admitted their mistake but are not proceeding with anything... what can i do? I am wondering if I did cocaine once and I smoked marijuana twice if I am asked on a police polygraph test (to be hired as a cop) will that cause them to not hire me? I have no criminal record as far as I know of and I am wondering if doing that stuff as little as I did will that be bad for me?

If you work for most police dept, they make you sign a contract for 36 months that says that you will pay back all your training expenses and salary if you leave before 36 months. Is it not illegal to have to pay back your salary?

I think my friend is getting one pulled over on her. A girl took out a restraining order on her exboyfriend and they go to court on the 30th. She has since called, messaged, and written this guy, but they are still going to court. Question: Isn't the restraining order null and void now???? She can't contact him even though she is the one filing the restraining order, can she???? This guy told my friend that all restraining orders are different, and she can contact him, but he can't contact her with this order. I call bull sh*t on that one. I have never heard of such a thing. I thought you BOTH had to abide by the order or it was broken.
Also, does a restraining order go "on your record"???
Thanks for any help.

When a police officer verbally abuses you should you ignore it, or should you file a complaint against them with their superior officers? What would you do?

I mean, it's Atlanta ask anyone who has ever driven there and they will tell you that everyone in the city drives at least 85 all the time. I got ticketed for 79 in a 55 (thanks for cutting me some slack GSP) The road was clear (I-85) dry, middle of the day, and the car had a support the GSP bumper sticker on it. Any way out of this one? Or any idea what it will cost me?

Can someone who has had a past record or even a record join the police force. Someone who wants some guidance by changing their lives. Is this something that would be considered by the force?

I ready an article that says they hate psychics because they're a bunch of frauds.

But word is that psychics are the ones who are due real credit for solving more cases and murder mysteries than detectives and law enforcement officials. I wonder, is it because most psychics are women and it makes the cops look stupid...

The 32 year old man is angry that cars are parked on the side of the road (No parking areas) blocking traffic and the police won't do anything about it. The man has egged them 4 to 5 times and they have finally moved & the man is very proud he took the law in his own hands and got the job done. What do you think of this?

A friend of mine got a ticket for speeding
(90 mph in a 70 mph zone). The police officer did not have proof of the speed, he wasn't even sure whether my friend was speeding or not; he said that another officer in a helicopter had clocked our speed and told him to stop us and give us a ticket. How is this possible? I know that using doppler technology they can measure the speed of a vehicle, but how can they know which vehicle it is?Don't they need to see the license plate for that? Is this enough to go to court to avoid the ticket? Thank you in advance for all the helpful responses. :-)

The two killers of a London lawyer have been sent down for 'life' meaning they will serve minimum terms of 17 and 21 years respectively so they could be only 35 and 40 when released. But nomal life expectancy is at least 70 - so should they not be held at least until then - or, in my view, until they die of old age? The prospect of remaining behind bars for the rest of their natural lives should cause such thugs to think about the consequences before they attack innocent people.
